Opening Amazon stores instead of parking?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts regarding opening an amazon store and letting it sit instead of parking a website?
Has anyone tried this?

I'm currently trying it on two sites I have parked, on one I have an aom trial store and on the other I have an astore. I'll see how it goes and let everyone know the results.

Since these two domains have traffic but no clicks I wanted to try something else with them. The stores have only been up for a day now but I did have someone add something to their cart (but they ultimately didn't buy it =(...lol)

What do you think?

I have amazon stores "attached" to a lot of my sites, up to 80k pages in each store, however very little income comes from them though.

As to placing them on a Domain instead of parking it, well it will be interesting to see the results but I think for the effort you put into it I cant see much point.

There is www.mrrat.com script reckoned to be one of the best. But if the traffic is light I would go for the aStore function within amazon.

That's an interesting idea. I have never thought about it.
I have several domains parked but I have yet to receive a single click. I might astore and see how it turns out.

I've also come across two other free amazon store scripts:

I've yet to try them though. Still trying the aom and the astore for now.

Would this work with other storefront scripts from other affiliate programs?

I had amazon stores on sites a few years ago, Then it came to mind, Why would people buy off my websites, If they want something from amazon, They will go to amazon and buy it, Same with Ebay.

That's true but making customising it so its a miche store might be interesting. If a domain that's parked is more product based then having links to a related product on amazon might be the same as parking?

Also take a look at Associate-O-Matic - www.associate-o-matic.com . They have both a free and a pay-for version. It has a LOT of options for tuning it.

I'm using it on two sites but have yet to earn a penny off of them. But then again I threw them up quickly doing just enough to insure they were SEO'd so their serach engine positions can develop in the short term. Hopefully in the near future I can get back to them and work on making them a bit more attractive so they'll develop some sales.
