Only $100,000 to reg a .com !

Won an auction at snapnames a while back and they used DOMAINSOFTHEDAY.NET as the register. Only $100,000 to reg a domain there and $15 to forward your domain while you wait to transfer it . Do they use this register for all winning auctions now ? Haven't won an auction since then. I guess I should be happy, unlike they other registers they used in the past, this one will transfer your domain .

I suppose these registrars are purely in the drop business and don't want to attract customers with fresh regs.
They all use the same directi interface, rather than customizing it and remove forms etc they just tweaked the price

actually....just do like this:

step 1: do like that website....offer .com for $100K

step 2: get a white van with a nice ad of your website.....in pink and with a nice (well to me is ugly like a rat..) little dog

step 3: park the van in front of Paris Hilton `s house.

step 4: relax and watch her orders rolling in

me too i've gotten about 3-4 domains with snapnames.com, they always send it to the manage.snapnames.com site to do wtv u need to do. You can forward for free and stuff and that 100 000$ i actually sent them an email asking how come they have written such a ridiculous amount and they said it was to discourage people from registering domains on that site.

This is just a snapnames holding registrar account.

hehe, I am even not interesting in those domains. When I see how the auctions prices ends, the domain names become so repulsive to me

Read between the lines folks, most of those obscure registrars are:

1. resellers of the big registrars.

or

2. Shell registrars of the big registrars.
