Being a newbie to the domain name trading game I got reeled in like a fish when I got those phishing emails from 'Alex Wargacki' of the Online Brokerage/Domain Explorer domain appraisal scam.
However, after nearly 3 weeks since I purchased those 'domain appraisals', Plimus have just forced a full refund from these crooks - Plimus obviously want to stay clear of any chargebacks from credit card companies.
So if anybody else here has fallen for this domain appraisal scam;
1. contact Plimus immediately to insist on a full refund
2. get your credit card company to initiate a chargeback
3. keep the dialogue open between you and the scammers to prevent automatic closure of the dispute, until Plimus step in and resolve the issue with a forced refund.
If you need any back up and/or support just drop me a line.
I may have my money back but I'm still gonna chase these guys through the FBI - I intend to make the lives of these scammers uncomfortable for a long time yet.
