Kindly share your 1 best advise for the upcoming/newcomers Domainers.
It is too late for that ... do not even startKindly share your 1 best advise for the upcoming/newcomers Domainers.
Can you please expatiate a little further. How do one with no knowledge but very eager to learn go about this?Don't become a domainer (I kid, well partially), start a website about something your passionate about.
For now, buy less (in fact, buy nothing!), read and learn more.Kindly share your 1 best advise for the upcoming/newcomers Domainers.
How he will be able to discern which name is quality and which is not, if these are the first 1-5 names he ever bought? The reading is good, but the theory is not the same as practice, so with 2-3% STR in a year, he will need around 6-7 years to sell his first domain and than decide if it's for him or not. This doesn't sound very practical, doesn't? My advice will be to use his first $100 to play with domains, to use some $5-$6 hand reg offers to learn from practice and price them at low xxx in the first year and maybe have a chance to sell some in the same time. The #1 most important point is.....(Just my opinion)
Do not fall for the usual newbie reg frenzy. Dont go crazy registering loads of names thinking you will sell them all, you wont. When you fall into this trap, this is what happens, you will eventually sell a name for say $500 in a couple of years time and think youve made a profit, when if you check all your names, registration costs, renewal fees, the truth is you have actually lost money.
Buy 1-5 names in a niche you are familiar with or have at least spent a few months researching, and try and sell a couple of names before reinvesting that money into another name.
Avoid hand regging available names, buy names off existing owners by emailing them and finding bargains. Quality over Quantity is the name of the game. Always ask yourself when a name is available "With the millions of people registering domains, why do you think that name is available?? The answer is usually pretty obvious!!
