I thought I better get one or two more names out of registerfly
so I initiated a transfer through godaddy...
went to registerfly and unlocked it - whois showed my information...
then I get an email from godaddy confirming the email being
sent regarding a transfer is going to xxx@xxx
which is obviously not me...
this is what the whois is showing on all my domains there that I have
checked so far...of course...it's just the ones I am attempting to transfer

Now comes the problem...THEY'VE LOCKED IT FOR 60 DAYS!!!!
What the H*ll am I supposed to do now?
it expires on the 18th?

What a mess! TG I don't have any domains in regfly, I'd be doing my dinger at that. Hope you get the names forced through.

Who said the electronic era was supposed to make things easier! Mind you, they also said that computers would reduce how much paper we need, I've got more now than ever before. Scared to get rid of it because last time I had a clear out a few days later I needed some of it!

ProxyHolder.net - out of the others that I have there,
this is the last one I wanted to get out before it goes away.
Plus I've submitted it to Moniker for the next big auction,
so just in case, I had to get it out before it expired...
And renewal was on the 18th of this month and there
was no way I was sending registerfly any money.

I have 2 domains I'm trying to get out of regfly. They gave me the correct authcodes when I sent a support ticket. But I have a different problem...

The registrar I'm trying to transfer to, domainsite.com, says that registerfly has my domains under "registrar lock" and they need to unlock my domain names before my names can be transferred. Registerfly said my names are unlocked. Not sure if I should cancel with domainsite and go with godaddy since people are having luck there. This stinks. My important domain expires 5/19. The other, 5/31.

Registerfly changed my whois as soon as I initiated the transfer
and it put it into a 60 day lock as well...
However Godaddy still carried through, when I inquired why registerfly
hadn't authorized the transfer yet and what would happen if they don't
let it go...this was the response

Thank you for contacting Online Support. A request to transfer PROXYHOLDER.NET has been submitted to the domain's Registry. The Registry will contact the current Registrar to make a final verification of the transfer. At present we are waiting on them to respond to this request. Some Registrars will try to verify requests of this kind before accepting them. Be sure to respond to any correspondence from your current Registrar in a timely manner or they may hold the domain. However, if the Registrar does not respond for a period of 5-7 days, the Registry will release the domain to us. This is what happens with many Registrars, so it may be a few days before the transfer is complete. Once Go Daddy has been informed of the outcome we will let you know.

registerfly sent me nothing!
And godaddy was able to get it for me, it's in my account there now, had to keep an eye on the whois stuff though, registerfly kept changing it. So rather than updating the whois every hour, I started just changing the email back
to mine and it worked...

maybe contact the support at the new registrar and let them know the
issues...maybe a different approach from them might help.

I sent an email to both domainsite and godaddy and explained things to both. I hope this gets taken care of before my names expire. We'll see....
