There seems to be alot of confusion related to this
This would be great to see this as a open dicussion thread with ones own understanding of what PR is amongst namepros.

First of all i know its easlily spammed it may have false links or one person's own portfolio of names poining or linking the one site it to give the PR

So how does one check ,,,, Marketleap.com........
if you see alot of the same webpage going into the site thats {dangerous} then click the different links to check to see the legit of the site is ther variety is there content? are news links homepage links? business links ect

how do you all think about PR

PR is temporary. It's based on # and quality of backlinks.
Regardless of how PR is obtained it still provides a domain name buyer with an advantage as long as it remains.

If PR is generated by a portfolio of names pointing to the site it probably won't last long. As soon as the name is sold links are removed and PR goes away at the next Google update.

If PR is a result of real, quality links then it could take months before sites providing the links are updated and the links are dropped.

The high PR does provide a real advantage to a domain name buyer that can put up a site quickly and can maintain or replace the links that contributed to the PR in the first place.

I would think that a high PR shouldn't mean much to a domain investor/reseller unless a quick resale is likely.

Am I wrong?
