Hi,

Is that possible to turn a domain with Fake Google Page Rank PR into a Real PR?

I ask this because I have seen many domains that have Fake PR, even very high like PR 8 or 7 or 6, but that seem to be useless.

Additionally, several of those domains still have back links, some even hundreds of back links. However, most of those back links are from Google, not from MSN or Yahoo.

For example, seecommand.com has a Fake PR of 6 and 100 back links from Google, meaning it is still indexed and with some traffic. Also, it has no current content because it has dropped but had in the past.

So, does anyone have experience doing this, getting Real PR from Fake PR, without redeveloping the domain from the beginning again?

Thanks for any ideas.

Fake PR is obtained by redirecting the domain to another domain. A Fake PR domain can be 'developed' into a Real PR if you do proper link building, remove the redirect , etc.

The Seecommand.com domain has fake PR as you noted, the backlinks it shows are not correct, since those backlinks are to the 'c-command.com' the real domain. So 'seecommand.com' will not get 'Real PR' if you just stop the redirect, since in reality it does not have any backlinks pointing to it.

P.S - However if you obtain the domain, seecommand.com and then build links to it, it can get an equilvalent PR to the amount of links you have got pointing to it.

Hope its clear

Thanks Rush,

Indeed, I was aware of how a Fake PR is obtained, just wanted to know how to turn it a Real PR.

You noted correctly, 'seecommand.com' has no real back links to it, from any search engine. However, it showed 100 back links as I checked using DRT, what is mostly a bug from Google, because Google showed it firstly.

In brief, as I see and was afraid of, a Fake PR can only be developed as a Real PR if the domain with the Fake PR has a good number of back links (and some previous content at least). There are also no guarantees that the new Real PR would be the same as the original Real PR.

Thanks for the info.

Don't be shy, if anyone else has any other idea of how to take benefit of a Fake PR, by making it a Real PR, please let us know.

Thanks again.

If it is fake PR then you cannot take any benifit from it. I would rather register a new domain name and do the work to get the real PR for it.

Thanks, but I was referring to domains that have dropped, are available by now, and still have the (Fake) PR as well some Google back links.

Anyone?
