.mobi Offer received, looking for appraisal/advice,

Hi all looking for some guidance for Array.mobi how much do you think it's worth, as i received an offer for it, and do you see any possible commerical uses for it??? I regged it as a keyword, but I didn't really think of any possible uses for it to make money.

So any advice or pointers would be very helpful!

hmm, I don't know. I think if you have no way to monetize and you have an offer on the table, I would take it if it's a decent offer.

There are a few results in Google for the domain. Software companies, biopharma, contact lenses. Maybe one of these is interested.

Kind of a difficult name to imagine type in traffic so it would need development.

If the offer is decent, I would sell it. Sometimes you have to know when to take money off the table.

Judging by the lack of development possibilities for the word array-- other than for a RAID-type business, I'm left to believe that the one sending you the offer is a newbie domainer who saw that killer OVT and didn't think twice. Teach him an expensive lesson

Seems under the surface that there are a few companies with the name that are into computers etc, Wiki has quite an extensive explanation of a computer array thats totally over my head!!! Maybe it would be a good name for techies i think it's above the average users head anyway!!

Impossible to guess if it is an end user or a domainer chasing the OVT. I would take the profits and move on if I had no development intentions for the name. The sooner you get to the black ink in an investment the better IMO. Unless of course the offer is a lowball but in this case the dev options seem slim or not as obvious so the offer seems like a reasonable start.

I'd sell it. Unless you are going to develop it yourself into something meaningful, why not sell it for a nice little profit, > 4x landrush reg, and maybe contributing to the "ecosystem" by selling to an end user.

As you sell, you should keep that in mind. The more names we put in the hands of end users the better for the longterm value of the extension and our portfolios.

As others have mentioned, hopefully it is now in the hands of a bona-fide End user ... who will develop with unique and compelling mobile content / application! IMHO. :gl: :talk:

Well I thought over and over what i could possibly use it for and couldn't really think of anything to be honest, so i thought since he's mentioned thats the highest he would go to i pressed the accept button!

Anyway good luck to the buyer if he/she is stalking the hallowed halls of NP!!
