I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

I only took one reg premium for just that reason. But many here are regging many reg premium names... gonna see a lot of drops if this extension doesn't get popular soon.

if you're willing to play with those amounts... check out IoT.now... same price. (Internet of Things).

I debated IOT already but don’t think it’s as common as the term software. Software runs everything, including this website/forum.

1) I cannot say that I know everything in domaining, but as of now the domain Showsout.COM is available for registration: So Showsout.NOW has lesser possibilities to find a buyer IMHO.

2) On the other side, as .NOW is a very very very new TLD, this brings us a unique opportunity: Several English dictionary single word domains are available to "invest" at registration price. (Here the word "invest" means that you&we may wait long long long time before our investment brings us a profit, if we invested on "investment quality domains".) Our aim here is to shorten as much as possible this long long long time, by choosing the most desirable words/terms. So I advise you -and to all my friends here- to prefer single words and/or very researched & desired (so "valuable") terms at this very specific stage.

You are right. From my side, what I did a few weeks ago, was (1) to find a list of "5.000 most popular English words" (by Google search) and (2) to paste this list in Namecheap's "Bulk Domain Search" where you can enter up to 5.000 words and search all in one go.

Then (3) I selected several available (but not "registry premium") domains from there, to explore the value in Expireddomains .net (For example if the chosen word is "Crop", you see in Expireddomains net that this word is searched 823.000 times/month. 217 extensions are taken including com/net/org/xyz/io/ai. 9.300 is the number of domains which begins or ends by the word "crop". And if you what to use this domain for parking 1.80 is the CPC.)

PS: I did not buy the domain Crop (.now) which is still available and of course is valuable; however in the list of 5.000 words there were "according to me" more valuable ones (because "value" is a matter of data, but also is a bit personal), and my budget could not buy all these 5.000 domains

.Now (vs .io, .ai etc) sounds suitable for both startups and companies outside the tech world (e.g. a fitness chain - Crossfit.Now, a teeth whitening consumer good - Whitening.Now, Clean energy startup - Solar.Now ) were the other TLDs I've mentioned are more for tech/startups specifically.

I think it can work for both BUT startups are quicker in trying new extensions IMO. Do you think low tech industries that are usually more conservative will be open to try this extension soon?

I tried to get someone I know who owns a vibey/busy bar to get <TheirShortBarName's>.Now to 1) be ahead of the curve or 2) create their own trend, however, I was not successful. I think it is a good fit tho because their bar name is super short and .Now creates a call to action (go to <BarName's>.now!).

.Now also makes it seem like it's a busy, happening, place you want to be at (if that's your thing).

It's hard to fathom half a million .today regs. At what point do domainers realize it was never going anywhere? Was there some big sales that started an avalanche.

My gut feeling is the general public is leery of any extension beyond 3 characters as they probably feel sketchy or at the least not very memorable.

What is the most successful extension for domain investors more than 3 characters?
