I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

.US domains.US domains
I think to achieve a bid of $1000 was excellent , the prospective buyer (domainer) would of paid the renewal taking their cost to $3729. Think of what you could acquire in .com for $3729 with a $10 renewal. Move. now is a good domain but the renewal killed it before it started.

Move.now is a true kingmaker name for the right end user. That said, for an investor the carry costs are almost unbearable while trying to find that perfect end user. Everyone has their own strategy of course - and some of these will sell. But Ai.now sold, and perhaps due to that renewal, for less than we would've expected.

I see a lot of .Nows continually on Atom Auctions which is a wholesale Auction basically, these names rarely get a good price, get no bid or get no where near reserves which are set way too high.

In my opinion and experience with .now it is better to list on Atom Wholesale marketplace with a price that is realistic. If not selling then drop price further, The price is going to continue to drop for the next few months unless there is another spike in sales , which we all pray for 🙏

I see your point. However, I understand Atom's Public Auctions weren't originally intended for wholesale, since there's a specific event category (with exclusive access for resellers) for that. Atom even states that Public auction events are extensively promoted among potential buyers.

In time we'll see, hopefully.

Unfortunately, Atom wholesale isn't accessible to a lot of users. You need at least 10 approved premium domains (which require the domains are exclusively available on Atom) and even if you're willing to provide Atom with exclusivity, Atom don't appear to be processing premium domain submissions at the moment. I understand why Atom limit access to wholesale (to investors) but their choice to identify an investor based on their number of premium listings prevents legitimate investors from accessing Atom's wholesale section (which means prices are lower than they might otherwise be). Auctions, on the other hand, are accessible to anyone.

Has there been any recent movement with this TLD? The brief period of rapid, high-priced sales remains notable, and it doesn’t appear to have been a simple fluke. I’m wondering how to understand that activity fitting into the bigger picture.

I suppose they need some way to identify investors and at the moment it's the best way I guess.

They are processing for sure, Ai approvals are taking 24 hours and manual around 1 week. There is an increase of around 1500 names a week for Atom premium at the moment , not sure how many names leave Atom premium a week .... so with an approval rate of 6.5% they are processing 22,000 plus names a week

Curious to hear from those of you actively registering .now domains:
I’m considering picking up two .now names, do you think it’s still a good idea, or is this TLD already turning into a money pit with high renewals?

Its speculations. And it depends on name. If .now support name with urgence feel and you can imagine cool brand or project than its probably good investment.

Some guys tell you that you should play only .com game.

I could go only with dictionary word. But not like ass.now that atom do apprais high because or buggy AI.
But people also reg that ass.now

Thanks, you just confirmed what I was thinking. It really makes sense for .now to be tied to something urgent or time-sensitive. Of course, .com is almost impossible to beat, which is why I’m only considering registering two names for now, just to test things out.

From my view, it seems that .now names registration was/is being actively promoted by Amazon among end users, so, while adoption looks promising, there's still no scarcity to drive sales in the aftermarket. But there is some traction, imho.

Payday begins when Amazon themselves actually use .now instead of promoting it to others.

I think there is great potential but it doesn't make sense to over extend yourself on a dark horse. Have .now as a small part of your domain portfolio.

If you can get slds that go well with .now at standard renewal, all the better. Carrying too many at premium renewal rates not only hits your pockets but puts off end users and domain investors also.

At the end of the day, buying a .com, .now, .ai... and expecting to sell it within a year of hand regging it is extremely unlikely. Regardless of the extension, one should expect to hold any domain for many years. That or be okay with flipping it for a 2-10x return.

Freename.com, an ICANN registrar, added .now for sale. Pricing is uncompetitive however

Would you buy domain like creampie.now?
Many TLDs taken. But many are for many years for sale. Like creampie.eu, creampie.pro

Point is what TLD is on ladder of TLDs right after .com?
Why anyone buy .now when they could get cheaper .pro or reg own untaken TLD.
What benefit .now add?

I mean does some plus "trust/autority" matter for this cache?

How so?

About a week ago, I listed the domains Medic.now, Teleport.now, and Cert.now on Atom’s public auction, but they didn’t get much attention. What do you all think of these three names?
