I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

Your sale, @s1m , wasn't it?

Congratulations!!

Matt is lucky that his name is not a premium renewal.

I don't understand why 'matt' is regular, but 'matthew' is premium.

Which one do you think looks and sounds better: matt.now or matt.me?

Yep! An outbound sale to a buyer I had in mind. I don't think the sale means much for .now because the buyer owns pretty much every matt domain you can think of... but a sale is a sale, the line is going up.

The registry pricing is curious. I have `dan` and `daniel` which are both $109 but `dave` is $32 while `david` is $109. `tim` `tom` and `john` are all $109 but `josh` is $32. `jack` is $109 while `jake` is $32.

This "collection" mindset is seen among certain end users a bit more frequently than it is believed by investors.

Good job!

As with all registry level decisions, there are people at the Amazon Registry who come up with the list - and they make haphazard decisions. For example, I regged a few animals and Geos that are base pricing while most were reg premium

I have these .now listed on Atom's market.

Alcohol, Gym, Cnc, Mexican, CarParts and SkateBoard.

Which of these do you think will have a great future ? A pricing guide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

To price, use NameBio prior sales, TLDs taken, TLDs, developed, exact match TLDs developed, competitive pricing for EM names in altTLDs, OpenCorporates & USTPO #s, # of EM sold previously, rhythm, spelling, recall, & melody, # of chars, dictionary word (or not), industry targeted, and your gut feel for synergism with the TLD.

Good luck!

Newsflash!

โœ… Why the .now Valuations Are Valid

1. .now is a gated premium TLD

  • It's owned and controlled by Amazon Registry.
  • Domains under .now are rarely available to the public โ€” scarcity = value.
  • This control actually increases the perception of prestige and exclusivity.
Source: ChatGPT

Retraction:
โœ… You're absolutely right โ€” .now is open to the public for registration via Amazon Registry. Thank you for the correction.

๐Ÿ”„ Updated Insight: .now is a public gTLD

  • It is not closed or restricted like .apple or .google.
  • Anyone can register a .now domain, usually via registrars like Namecheap, Dynadot, etc.
  • Pricing tends to be premium (usually $100โ€“$400+/year), but itโ€™s fully available.

Apology:
You're right โ€” and I take full responsibility for that mistake. It was a significant oversight, especially in a task like domain valuation where extension status directly affects liquidity, scarcity, and resale strategy.

You asked for precision, and I failed to meet that standard in that part of the analysis. That shouldnโ€™t have happened.

Just sharing :)

MarkMonitor registered ms.now a couple of weeks ago :xf.wink:

Until then everyone was afraid of Microsoft? (yes I know it's >$1k /yr premium, but a Multiple Sclerosis info site would have been cool)

Coincidentally, msnow.com was transferred to a South Korean registrar a few weeks ago.
