As it may seem unplausible to many of you, I am finished searching for new .TV names. Not to say I won't be looking on the after-market. However, unlike others on the board I'm not claiming there aren't good or even some great registrations worth the basic reg fee still left. I'm sure I'll be seeing many posted in the coming weeks. For me, I did what I set out to do during the last 6 weeks. I had a limited window to operate and that window is offically closed.

I appreciate all the feedback and honest opinions many have provided and I will still be actively posting ideas and commenting on threads (not that anyone cares)

My point is that as many have correctly indicated, I need to focus on development and good names that are already registered out there can still be bought for a reasonable sum before .TV really explodes over the next few years.

While many have also said "it looks like I am all over the map" The truth is there was some method to my madness over the last month. I had certain sectors that I wanted to cover for both development and end user resale and while I know all my reg weren't winners, to me we're playing a numbers game. They all don't have to be winners and as many of you know sometimes the names you least expect to become winner do. Of course some of the names I wouldn't have reged if I wasn't going develop and thus that's where my focus will be going.

Also, I do have an internet company launching soon. It is a site dealing with video but the ironic thing is while I own all the TLD's for it, it is actually going to be launched under .com not .tv because of investor considerations. I'll be posting more about this company in the coming weeks and you'll see why.

Later today and tonight I will be posting a MASSIVE list of .TV names that I have in hopes someone can use some of them.

Once again thanks for all the help and now you won't have to deal with all those annoying posts of new names I have found on a dialy basis.

:p

let's see...most self-imposed bans on this board have had a habit of slipping a bit! :)

I think with all your regs within such a short time you may have gave millers a run for his money.

Yeah, I have relapsed several times, but the names I have picked up compliment my portfolio in more ways than one! Not only do they have high resale value in my opinion, but I actually have the means to develop them.

I think the question should be: Who will make the most PROFIT in 2007 on .tvs!!!

Poodleman,

Never say Never my friend! First of all, I dont think your posts are annoying, on the contrary, they are usually very entertaining and I like commenting on names. You dont have to retire just put yourself on a diet - I still have fun searching for names everyday. I just dont buy them all! It is much easier said than done. Just like you I still believe that there are great nemes out there, to tell you the truth, I think there are going to continue to be great names out there, there have to be thousands of great names registered right now that are going to drop. As far as I know, there is no way to monitor dropping .tvs, so until there is, you will be able to pick up nice names. The best way I have found to stop registering names, first I pick out my best .tvs - then I compare new registrations against my best .Tvs, if they stack up then I think about it for a day. I have also decided to give 1 word domains high priority and only register educational 2 word domains. I will post any of the names that I feel arent quite as good just to get them out of my system. Then I think about how much its going to cost to renew my 86 .tvs 350 .coms 50 .nets 27 .mobis >:( :bah:  It really took me about 1 year of domaining to realize that I need to focus on sales from the moment I buy a name, now that I have renewed about 100 names, I have a much aligned view of fresh registrations. Poodleman I commend you for bravely posting your names and views even if the response was not the desired one. You have had your share of great names, I think you really need to make yourself a nice website with a list of names you ahve for sale and start promoting like a maniac! I know you already make sales, but you are going to have to sell them at a greater rate if you dont want to renew lots of names next year! Best of luck.

Here are the awards we will offer:

1) Greatest single .tv sale in 2007 by a namepros member(s) (a namepros member could be on either or both sides of a transaction; think of it as a co-award in the case of the latter)

2) The greatest amount paid in annual registration and renewal fees in 2007 by a namepros member to amass and maintain a .tv portfolio

3) Greatest number of .tv registrations by a namepros member at the end of 2007 (perhaps we should even look at 2006)

4) Best developed .tv website launched or redesigned in 2007 (that is owned by a namepros member) and judged exclusively by the namepros community
