If you don't list them on Afternic and Sedo you might as well put an advert in your local shop window.

How long have you been in domains?

How many do you have?

Problem is in AI, it will replace informative websites, sometimes I m afraid to create a website due to AI scraping the data, humans are becoming useless, because it is hard to control them, the push of AI in last years is related.
Only serious businesses are buying domains, which have real products or offer digital services, which are not replaced yet by AI, in short AI should be considered an enemy world wide and those who push or promote it.
If you have AI domains keep them for yourself and don't sell them even for big money, let them rot with their AI, I have some important AI domains in com and I m going to bring hell using them, to those which promote AI services and automation.
Domains are getting useless, most are for sale and no real productivity to develop them. Social medias are another enemy to domains, stop using them, even NP's can become useless if you continue to support guys like Elon Musk and GPT stuff, and those who want to replace us with AI servants, because we no longer want to be slaves in the ***a***.

Domaining is not a full time job

stick to picking good domains and mostly in com , expect a sale in next 5 years ..

use afternic and sedo

reduce selling price 20% - 30% if needed

and use buy now rather than make offer

There are several reasons:
- Crap names
- Learn the wrong things:
-- How many extensions is taken
-- Similar sales from the past
-- Believe in Appraisals
-- SQ Brandpa, etc approved
-- High DA
-- BackLinks
-- Wrong Extensions
-- etc...
And if you hand registered a name and expect it to be sold then your chance is 1/10,000

I couldn’t agree more. Many of us are very quickly Becoming Obsolete (com), while others are already there without yet even knowing it — Being Obsolete (com).

If the threat from AI isn’t enough for domainers, in particular, then social media is. That’s where most people go; domain names are the last thing they think of.

Try parking them on NamePros Landers instead. Then you'll know for certain whether they have interest.

Other platforms do not produce as clear of a picture in this regard.

We hope this helps.

Hi

some years ago, folks were saying that facebook and the apps would kill domains,
but look who wants to be a domainer now :)

google, yahoo, duck duck, etc. wouldn't have a purpose if people didn't use domains.

imo...

Even good domains are difficult to sell. This is because their buyers tend to be people with good taste, and such people are always in the minority and their number is constantly decreasing.
There are many people who will buy a three-word average domain from a well-known seller for 20k, rather than a good short two-word domain from an unknown seller for 2k.
And it turns out that there is less and less beauty in the world, rather than unattractive authority.

Hmm what was the nail in the coffin, the double-letter domains or triple one's?

Naming isn't for everyone but consider other facets to the domain industry to explore that doesn't involve hand-regging. A bit of research, capital and patience can turn your frown upside-down.

buyers have no clue if they buy from well known sellers or not

I think that many people in social networks fall under the PR of the 'domainmarket', for example.

Maybe watching the Olympics? I’m personally going to need a new distraction when they end in week. 😉 It’s truly amazing seeing people be extraordinary!

What kind of business is that if a multimillion company can't afford 100K to buy my Com domain?

This tells me allot how much they value their business name, because they think I will sell it with 500$, he contact me second time but the 3rd may not happen, someone smarter than him will come and buy it if he will wait and think longer.

I like to read this kind of posts where lot of wisdom can be learned if you read all posts right way.

I see domaining similar to real estates. You can have 1000s of houses in poor state and poor location and you want to earn 100.000$ and more but there are really few buyers for thi kind of estates and they would never pay 100.000$...

On other side as "not so rich" domainer you will not seel 5mio 10mio mensions as you can not afford to buy them if you are not holding them for 15-20 years or more...

So most you can do is to learn mid-market where you can sell domains for XXX or low- mid x.xxx.

And as I see so far you will for sure not find this kind of domains on deleted domains market. You need to go godaddy closeouts and try your knowladge there but even more realistics to get good domain are auctions godaddy, catched, dropcached and similar...

How much to pay and what to buy? This is what you need to learn....

Hi

on the contrary, sometimes they know exactly who they are buying from

and that's why they either come up with the dough-ski and pay their asking price
or
they go low, because they know this seller may not be as educated about a usage of the domain.

imo....

well sometimes anything happens.. I meant great majority times when buyer buys on sedo or others or just lands on your lander they have no clue from there about seller reputation or experience. some dont know how to check... others it isn't even possible..and others simply dont care...

Hi

on sedo, they do show how long a seller has been with the platform and provides (optional) link to their portfolio.

it's not a lot, but more than nothing/

imo....
