After money was taken from my credit card to pay for pre-registrations at DD24 I received an email which included this:

"Should a registration fail, then any paid amount will automatically be credited to your customer-account at domaindiscount24.com where it can be refunded free-of-charge at any point in time."

When none of my seventy pre-registrations were successful I received and email which included this:

"The fees for this domain will be credited to your user account and can be used for payment of further registrations."

I had only 6 pre-regs at DD24, from the original 30, because I was expecting something like this. DD24 got me 2 failed on 4, a couple more I hand regged :)

Actually, how much is each pre-reg submission at DD?

Enom got me 1 of 5 I submitted, hmm...

DD24 took 30% of the domain name charge. If you pre-registered 30 name they took payment for about 9. I was expecting they would get 30% of my pre-registrations and hence this seemed fair. I never thought they would get zero. Of course, if I knew this I would never have used them.

If you still have the original email confront them about it as they are going against their word.

If you have no joy and it was fairly recent contact your credit card company and know not to bother using that registrar again.

I read this as meaning that they will first apply it to your DD account, obviously to try and keep your money with them, but you can still request a credit afterwards, contact them and request a credit, if they dont give your $ back then theres a problem as they did just what they said they would.
