When I search for a certain domain nuame in WildWestDomains' whois, I get the following:

WHOIS Search Results for: DOMAIN.COM

No match for "DOMAIN.com" in the registrar database.

Registry Status: REGISTRAR-LOCK


The message seems to be self-contradictory--does anyone know what it means?

Maybe ther registar is down or something similar, this happen sometimes hean i sarc at whois.sc

Looks like soemthing has went a-wall.

Sometimes with Wild West Domains you have to retry after about a
15 minute wait. I have run into this at both WWD and GoDaddy.

They will only show domain names that are registered through them

Actually, I beleive they will show all domains, but the whois of the registrar where the domain is registered is (supposed to be) the most authoritative
