I think that NamePros should get the hack installed that makes it so that you can not bump your own thread. Your text is just added to your last post. Not sure if it is a hack or an option, but either way we need it. There are quite a few people bumping there threads and then creating new threads in the advertising section. Then they have two threads at the top. Thanks.

Yep, I considered that and that's why the bump hack won't apply in the auctions forum. Also there may be instances where the last posted needs to bid again.

In the other marketplace forums its set at twelve hours. We'll see how it goes and adjust it as neccessary.

Another alternative, which I have seen at WHT, would be make it so that threads are posted by creation date. That way, the bumps do not even matter.

That's just a bad idea. Lot more domain sales threads here than at wht. Threads would be on the first page for like 20 minutes.

You need to update your sales thread when people buy domains or prices decrease or you withdraw domains from the sale, etc. No reaosn you should be 'punished' by having your thread vanish from the radar after doing business on the forum.

I personally dislike the WHT style of ordering threads by original thread creation date. For me it makes it harder to keep up on active threads.
