I've been a total couch potato this weekend and have been watching quite a bit of television. I couldn't help but notice that it seems like all the major brands are pushing their .com sites more than usual. I'm not sure if I just pay more attention to that sort of stuff than I used to or if they really are amping up their marketing of their .com real estate. I also noticed I didn't see one ngTLD being pushed.
One brand that stood out to me was Apartments.com. I saw their ad no less than six times this weekend and found myself wondering how the spot would be if they re-branded under "whatever.Apartments" or something similar. I'd like to know what you folks have observed and what you think will change in the future. Will we ever see ngTlds being marketed on the tube, or will .com reign forever and so forth?
Sorry for the long post!
