.ng is the most dangerous domain, also the most expensive domain ($100 usd per year).

    risk of .ng domains:
.ng is the most dangerous domain, also the most expensive domain ($100 usd per year).
domain business is a strict business, first come first served.
but do you know that all the .ng domains are controlled by nira (Nigeria Internet Registration Association),do you know that Mary Uduma (the president of nira) and Sunday Folayan (the vice president of nira) and their nira will steal customers domains suddenly then sell them privately?

i registered games.ng with http://www.whogohost.com/ on 2013-05-24,2013-7-4, Mary Uduma and Sunday Folayan and their nira transfer out this domain from my account suddenly even without a email notice then sold it privately for $10000 usd per year, every year. (i heard the price from a registrar)

i registered nigeria.ng with http://netorb.ng/ on 2013-04-16,this domain also been used for a nigeria travel website for a long time. 2013-12-09, Mary Uduma and Sunday Folayan and their nira suspend my website suddenly, steal my domain suddenly again.this time,i dont know how much do they want to sell this domain after they steal it from me.

Agreed. Nira robbed me on a domain registration back in April 2013.

I had paid around $90 on a domain, and then later in the week Nira
"invited" me to pay approximately one hundred times that amount in
order for me to keep it, lol.

if it is the first time i heard news like this,i will be very strange. but now,i am not strange at all. because nira made mistakes on my 3 domains only during last 8 months.
there are many other registrants domains suspend and take back by nira. nira not only take back registrants domains, they also take back their registrars domains even from the year of 2009,althouth many .ng registrars are very angry with nira, but they dont dare to fight with nira, due to the reason of "lose accreditation".
i believe there are many other victims still not cry out, their domains are take back and sold by nira privately, its time for us stand up and fight together with nira now. i hope other victims can tell your story to us,i hope everyone who viewed these stories can say something to nira, thank you for your justice!

If you want to warn people, and do it effectively, then you really need to improve your English skills.

Also, you mention that Nira had made several "mistakes", and this implies that Nira is just somehow incompetent. If you want to warn people (and not do it with ambiguity) then don't mention "mistakes" as this will cause some to believe that they're just a bunch of slap happy fools.. and, well, mistakes will kinda happen, won't they.

In my own experience, Nira had made NO mistakes - it was simple theft. No ambiguity, no grey area, nothing.. And the $9,000 they wanted from me, ladies and gents, was A YEARLY FEE.

In truth, there is no reason for anyone to be buying a .ng. Even Nigerians in that country prefer ".com", and as for domain hacks, would you really want a name like "domainrobbi.ng" knowing it can be taken from you at any time... No appeal, no compensation?!

search "Most of Nigeria's 30,000 .ng domain names are foreign-owned" ,you will know that most .ng domains are registered by foreigners, that is the reason why Sunday Folayan and nira dare to take back their registrants domains again and again.

nigerians know clearer than us foreigners that .ng domains is not safe,so they don't register .ng domains.

i agree with you that "it was simple theft." but do you know that when i fight with nira, somebody do not dare to fight with nira when their customers domains were take back by nira (due to the reason of "scared of lose its accreditation"), but only told me that i am not polite. so,i am fighting alone, i hope i can get support from everyone who viewed these stories.

some registrar told me that nira is "Greed",so,they want you pay 9000 usd per year.

I used to have scam.co.ng that I regged free from a co.ng giveaway. I thought that .ng was reserved for citizens and local businesses and co.ng was open , but I may be wrong.

every good people, please dont be cheated by nira’s "holy policy". they have cheating, quibbling, and delaying me for more than two months.
nigeria.org.ng was first registered by other people,he is nigerian.2013-12-16,nira sent a email to the owner of it saying that nira will suspend nigeria.org.ng (the email is the same with what i received from nira when they suspend nigeria.ng),they did this just want to persuade me that they suspend my domain nigeria.ng is right.
nigeria.org.ng was take back by nira on 2013-12-16. but ladies and gentlemen,do you know what nira did with nigeria.org.ng after they take it back from the former owner?
    they list nigeria.org.ng for sale!
after i publish the truth, nira delete “Contact NIRA to buy this domain” from the whois immediately, but i have screenshot the whois before they delete it (below):
    whois check: http://whois.nic.net.ng/whois.jsp
(there must be a buyer contact nira on nigeria.ng,so they take it back from me, but i am fighting with nira,so they dont dare to list it for sale,if not,may be nigeria.ng already sold to the buyer like games.ng which nira theft from me and sold later)

    i registered games.ng with http://www.whogohost.com/ on 2013-05-24.
after nira theft my domains, after i published the truth,2013-12-24,Sunday Folayan (the vice president of nira) who theft games.ng from me told me that:
“NiRA and Nigeria are not interested in your games.ng, so I do not see any reason why you should not get that one.“

    whogohost told me that:
“since they said we can get it back,I will go and fight to get it back“,
“we will fight for you, don’t worry and these things will be solved this year(2013).”
i dont know whether he still remember these. check that how many days passed from 2014-01-01,check that how many days passed from nira take back games.ng and sold it on 2013-7-4,i still not get back my domain or get the money they sold it.

about games.ng, i heard nothing from whogohost for many days. even Sunday Folayan (the vice president of nira) who theft games.ng from me also said that i can get back games.ng,i dont know why whogohost still dont dare to fight with nira and get back games.ng for me quickly,if they cannot protect the customer’s interest,i dont know who will register new domains with them in the future.

    i registered nigeria.ng with netorb.ng on 2013-04-16.
after nira theft my domains, after i published the truth, nira told me through netorb that they will let me choose other .ng/.com.ng domains in exchange for nigeria.ng,i said that if they give me back games.ng first,i will agree exchange nigeria.ng with them.
because Sunday Folayan (the vice president of nira) who theft games.ng from me also said that i can get back games.ng.
because whogohost dont reply to me and i heard nothing from them who should fight for games.ng,so,i told this to nira through netorb.
(about this,i should say thanks to netorb)

2014-1-29,look at what nira told to me through netorb:

i told nira many times before that i will only choose domains which are complete owned by nira,so i will not choose these .com.ng domains for exchange. i dont want other people be hurt due to my reason.
nira have many .ng domains himself, but they dont let me choose those .ng domains to make up these .com.ng domains which they promise but they dont have.
until today, i get 0 domain from nira.

when .ng domains was launched on 2013-04-16,its Ope Odusan who on the position of the coo of nira,he is a famous people in nigeria domain industry,he works with nira for many years,he know clearly the nira “holy policy” than everyone.look at what he said: (after he launched .ng domains on 2013-04-16,3 months later,2013-7-8,Ope Odusan leaves nira to the new company of africa.com).Ope Odusan is a good people,he only speak out the truth many people dont dare to speak, hope Ope Odusan will not be hurt by nira.
after a long time when nigeria.ng was registered on 2013-4-16,on 2013-12-09,nira suspend my domain and website suddenly like a robber, which already used for 8 months.

Yes, I agree. NIRA is a mess, and they have managed their "premium domains" extremely badly.

Invest in this ccTLD at your own peril.

it seems that you are another victim, there are so many victims, but nobody cry out!

when nira steal games.ng from me,they say it was only registered due to a "technical glitch"
when nira steal nigeria.ng from me,they also say it's "technical glitch"!

maybe they can steal all the good domains with this pretense.
even it's technical glitch, who should bear the consequence?
it's nira's technical glitch, why let us bear the consequence?
