Next Trend ?

Moving on from the 3D, Cloud , NFC, Marijuana etc....trends, what do people think will be the next big money maker for the domainer?

I have a few Big Data domains but I like my hand in several dishes so if anyone would like to share their thoughts I'm sure a lot of domainers would appreciate any insights to what's gonna be hot or not.

We may have a trend or two before it happens but green alternative energies are coming and will be as big as any new trend we've seen in the past....maybe bigger. The first big sector will be solar, then wind, eco, fuelcells, etc. Fossil fuels (coal and oil mainly)will be replaced within a few more years.

Whilst i do agree fossil fuels will be replaced, i truly doubt it will be in just a few years, i would happily own oil prices.com for the next 20+ years

You're right....I shouldn't use "in just a few years" to estimate the replacement of ALL fossil fuels. But I will say I expect alternative green energies to continue to get better and cheaper from now on until they are the primary source of our energy worldwide. If climate changes keep happening as quickly as they have in the past few year then fossil fuels for energy could very well be on a deep downtrend much sooner than most people think.

You're right....I shouldn't use "in just a few years" to estimate the replacement of ALL fossil fuels. But I will say I expect alternative green energies to continue to get better and cheaper from now on until they are the primary source of our energy worldwide. If climate changes keep happening as quickly as they have in the past few year then fossil fuels for energy could very well be on a deep downtrend much sooner than most people think.

Poor countries will continue to use the cheapest methods so i think a ways to go ......one day

no big enquires as yet but i think it is regged in many other extensions so normally a good sign, maybe one day it will become something?

New Trends

I think that one of the big new trends will be the new TV screen technology OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes)
Everyone wanted flat screen TV's, HDTV's, and now we have OLED curved screen TV's.
They're very expensive at the moment; but all new technology starts off like that, until everyone has to have one.
I've hand registered a few OLED domain names in the hope that they will gain value (I've listed them in the Reg of the day section) if you want to have a look.

When your whole wall is going to be a tv screen it's a bit more exciting i'm guessing
