Doron Vermaat of DNGeek has written yet another excellent post about the recently funded startups and their domain names.
Here is an excerpt from the article:
"There was plenty of funding activity again last week with 59 new start-ups raising a whopping 4+ billion dollars in capital. Almost 80 percent of them launched on a .Com domain name with .Net coming in second with 3 startups going to market with a web address powered by this member of the original top-level domains family. Most notably absent from this weeks list is .Co but we do have our first new gTLD of Q2 on the list with Joule.club who raised a undisclosed amount of seed money."
While most startups are using exact match .COM domains, there are few who are yet to acquire their .COM.
Knod uses Knod.net, Alpha7 uses Alpha7.com.sg, Radiotopia uses Radiotopia.fm, EveMattress uses EveMattress.co.uk, there are few .Org and a .io also in the list, as expected.
The highlight is Joule.club.
