Hello,

I'm new to the forum and Domaining in general. I've been lurking for the last week or so reading all the posts and finally decided to register. Just wanted to say thanks for all the great information on this site, and I'm very very excited to start buying and developing domains!

Here's My Question:

If anyone has any advice they would like to give it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's your 1st advice....

read, read, and read more....there's a ton of information on this forum from parking to developing...get knowledgeable about this business before buying domains, or you'll make what most newb mistakes and end up buying tons of worthless domains....I know I did that when I was just beginning!.

I actually have already purchased a few domains and developed a few, but soon realized I had no idea what I was doing. So yeah not totally mistake free but at least I stopped and started learning more before I got too deep. Thanks for the advice.

Like @mosilager said:read,read and read.
Start reading the "domains wanted" section and you get a clearer picture what domains are wanted.

Dont make hasty decision in registering the domain, Make some research over Google and other Domaining forum and as ronald01 said keep reading "Domain Wanted" forum which can give you better idea of whats selling and whats not.. Also visit DNJournal and DNSalesprice to check its sales report of domains..

The final word is DONT INVEST YOUR HARD EARN MONEY IN CRAPY NAMES IN GREED OF GETTING REACH OVERNIGHT...

Best of Luck and have a bright future..

Yes, I think you should slow down and put more focus into what are the things you want to achieve at the end of the day. I started domaining a few years back but ended up as Search Engine Optimizer and Website Investor as I find those stuff more interesting. But it is through domaining that leads me to another area.

So don't be afraid to try things out as long as your instinct tells you to do so =)
