New Tech Domain Regs: What Did You Get?

My theory is there is real money to be made for those that get to the new technology domains first. I'm not talking about TMed tech domains but generic new tech domains.

I recently suggested MT9 as the replacement for MP3 as a good starting place and of course alot of those are taken but what did you reg regarding new technologies and how do you think that reg will fare?

New tech may be one of the last bastions for good hand regs IMO.

I have mt9downloads.com, mt9search.com, mt9store.com, and mt9tunes.com. I have not received any offers yet. I have to agree that new technology is an excellent way to get some good hand registrations.

Ive owned Smellophone.com for a year and a bit and I get the odd offer. The offers are poor thus far but it encourages me that people take interest in it.

There's also the aspect of a device which records smells which is in its infancy at the moment...thats what Im holding out for! :tu:

I agree with the tech aspect! I own 200+ .com's in the OLED tech niche of related domains hoping I have a jump on it. Many are getting daily uniques all parked at sedo. When Sony released their news on the xel-1 OLED tv thats when I bought.

That's a domain I think might have benefited from a hyphen to make it clearer (e-ink). And don't give up hope, that might yet pan out as production costs come down and it comes out of R&D.

As for news, I make runs of all the major news sites and subscribe to feeds using the keywords that interest me.

As simple as going to sites like Topix and subscribing to the keywords "new technology".. any news showing up with those keywords will be sent to your email.

google news / alerts / plus I research alot of tech sites and write ALL my own articles except the voxant news of course.

BTW: I am looking to sell some of my oled domains to hone my list down so I can make it more manageable if anyone is looking for some hot OLED related keyword .coms at a good price. They are all parked on sedo and most of them get uniques daily, not too many as yet but consistent as its still early in the OLED game so to speak but get the jump now. I can send you link to domains if you want , just pm me.

As you may know OLED is in its infancy & will be a major contender in the FPD market soon enough. With Samsung SDI, Sony, Matsushita, Universal Display. Motorloa, etc etc involved things can only go up in this niche BIGTIME!
I wanted to start an OLED network of sorts to cover this niche and etsablish major postions in google for OLED but I am only one person and have limited time and experience on website development. Presently my blog is now positioned in google for a ton of keywords and phrases most on page 1 or 2 for many search terms and readership is growing daily.
