Hello,

Is anyone here who is familiar with netfirms?

I see they have WHOIS Privacy on the domain names there.

How do I check and make sure the domain name is registered under my contact to show proof of ownership?

I just want to avoid future problem of domain name ownership, but if they have WHOIS Privacy where WHOIS have them in WHOIS, then the domain name is owned by them.

You can always disable the WHOIS Privacy Protection feature.

Netfirms is a Canadian company that you can trust. However, their control panel is designed for web hosting clients rather than for domainers and they keep customers' credit card information on file.

Hi, I have experience.(about some years).
Their services is really nice(only services!not their support, but you can do anything without any need to their support)
if you enable whois privacy, you will not see their name, you will see some details about a whois privacy company. so your data is here protected.
if you disable the whois privacy(as it is on default), there will be your contact.
you can change the contact very easily and you can check the details after changing your details on whois websites instantly. also they send you - about the first week of your account - your whois details(on email), you can check that email details and go and correct those details if you see any problem there.
