Hi people. I Got an offer of $75 for validating.info. However, this is an end-user which i initated the contact first. May i know if this is a fair price or should i counter a higher offer although i initated the contact first.

Thanks!

Thanks!

But is it not recommended to counter an offer when the seller initates the contact first?

I would very much like to counter a $100 offer but am afraid that the buyer will get turned off.

Thanks for reply!

But is it adviceable to up the offer to $100 because i'm thinking validating fits the ext well. "validating information" has 22k quoted google results.

Will you get turned off if you were the enduser?

$75 is a fair offer. This is a .INFO, there are many dictionary word .INFO left.
I would just accept the offer to be honest.

you can try to ask 100, then try to quickly take the 75 if they say no

how you going to sell it? Pay Pal?

Buyer may want some security if the price gets too high, and escrow services can take more money away then the amount your trying to bump up the offer, unless you have the buyer pay it, which they may not want

Well you could counter with $100 but your taking chance on a sale for a small increment. Try asking for $160 if your taking a chance, as the buyer might decline the offer and you might not find another buyer anytime soon.

Although i get your point about the domain fitting the extension, i wouldnt think it would be an easy reseller sale.

Personally, i would take the offer.

Thanks people. I'm gonna let it go for $75. But as this is my first time doing an end-user sale, how shall i go about doing the payment?

My preferred payment is PayPal as i do not have escrow etc. Is it wise or fair to demand the buyer to pay first before i transfer the domain over?

What if he decline? Should i try ebay as i have 20+ positive feedbacks there?

thanks again! :loveyou:

allways get your money before transfering a domain name, you can try paypal, there a risk of creditcard charge back, but in this case $75 and an .info its probally worth the risk. If you put it up on ebay the person that you have interrested in the domain may look at the other auctions and say "you know that name isnt as speacial as i thought it was" and then your out ebay fees on a $75 auction. Also the buyer might watch the ebay auction and say "nobody esle is bidding on this, maybe its too high"

you have 5 itrader points, so feel free to ask the end user to pay you first.
It's really a great deal, I have some one word .INFOs, but seems that they are useless.....including defunct.info

thanks johname, edencc and everyone!

The buyer was really cool that right after i asked for payment first, $75 was in my paypal straight away!

The best part is , i picked validating.info on saturday at $1.19, played all day with friends on sunday, and then decided to send emails out to end-users for the first time on monday, and sold. Looks like i should start sending out emails for other domains!

Thanks everyone again!

Thats a nice return on a recent reg, well done.

Lots of people don't like .info domains but they can provide a very good return if you can pick up a good one cheap :)

i woundnt take the risk for just $25...either settle the deal which sounds reasonable for the name (and high return as you reged it few days back at $1 :) ) or counter with a higher price
