Hi guys,

One of my domain names is registered with NameScout.com and I really need to hide the whois from public view. I contacted their support and they told me that they do not provide such a service and not aware of any third parties that do. I can't transfer the domain for 90 days to a different registrar, are there any solutions for me? Are there any 3rd party whois privacy guards/protectors?

Thanks :)

Why can't you transfer the domain for 90 days? I have heard of a 60 Day lock (New Regs & Domains recently changing registrars).

Hi Brad,

I am not quite sure. Those are their guidelines.

Are you sure it is locked?

Is it a new registration? If so it is in a 60 Day lock.
If it is not a new registration, and ownership just changed then there is no 60 Day lock on Namescout.

Hi Brad,

I originally got the domain from Pool.com and they transferred the details to namescout.com, their affiliate registrar. I sent them an email to see if I can transfer.
