I noticed namepros is still using an old version of vbulletin and was curious if there were and future plans to upgrade to a more current version? There are many new features in newer versions that are pretty nice.

Not many more features, but none of them compare to the custom ones RJ has built and installed.

It would take a long time to update, and making sure these modifications work.

I can't see if being upgraded anytime soon, but, what do i know....:D

I think the last time this was brought up there were no plans on an upgrade. The newer versions are nice in many regards but why fix something that ain't broke if you know what I mean? Namepros is very heavily modded and there's not really a huge reason to upgrade.

Yeah, it was bought up a few months back and eventually you have to ask the question...what benefit will Namepros have from upgrading? The answer is very little. It would take ages to port the mods, there are lots more mods than you think :)

IMHO I just don't think its worth it.

As long as all the exploits for these earlier versions are patched that was my main concern.

Yeah, I'm sure they are :) Although vB doesn't have many major exploits, just minor ones.

I doubt namepros would benefit from the upgrade with all the extras namepros has i doubt there would be a pint in upgrading it.
