NameDrive vs. 1Plus vs. Bodis

I recently moved all of my domains from Sedo to Bodis, and have been very satisfied with the results so far.

However, I've been thinking of trying the different parking services, namely 1Plus and NameDrive (which I assume are the two best ones).
Before trying them, i would like to ask: are they worth the trouble?

I've spent a lot of time optimizing my Bodis pages, and changing nameservers, optimizing will take a ton of time and trouble. If ND and 1Plus aren't worth the effort, i wouldn't bother.

What have your experiences been like?

I've come down to using 2 providers. Parked and Bodis. Have tried the ones you mentioned and then some, Parked and Bodis remained as the most useful ones.

I just signed up for Bodis today. Set up my first parked domain there, StereoBluetooth.com. I haven't quite figured out how they make their cut when they promise 100% revenue share?

I'm considering moving all my traffic domains there from SEDO - if it looks like BODIS can deliver better results. However, in a way parking at SEDO is attractive because of the integrated system of parking+sale. It's easy to just add to SEDO and they will take care of parking&selling.

Any thoughts?

I've tried Parked but somehow don't like their interface. Its too cluttered and complicated.

Bodis has given me some great results so farm but I was only curious to try the other services. if, like you guys tell me, they are worthless, I don't see the point of using them then.

namedrive will ban you out of nowhere and not even send you an email letting you know that you're out and/or why. if you do sign up with them, be sure to check your account often.

i've recently moved to bodis with one of my higher trafficked domains and the results have been better anyway. i'll probably move a few more of my names over in a few days.

btw, what about WhyPark? I love their idea but hate the look of their pages...any success with them?

I just signed up with Parked dot com and within 5 days I made more revenue compare to the 2 other parking sites I previously signed up with. I'm still trying to get use to Bodis interface and I will optimize it later on.

Personally, I think it depends on the name(s) you have. From what I hear, Bodis is making a lot of parkers very happy. But my names don't get much type in traffic. No worries though. Since moving to 1Plus, they now are indexed quite well on search engines. That's the majority of my traffic. And utilizing adsense on 1plus has certainly been a blessing to my portfolio (and bank account). The difference being, I now usually make as much or more daily than I made monthly parking at Sedo or Namedrive. I'm also waiting to see what imodo has in store. :hehe:

So, in addition to the old school parking services (sedo, fabulous etc) we've got:

Bodis.com and Parked.com -traditional looking parking pages
and
WhyPark.com vs 1plus.net -automatic content

I have sites at WhyPark and their pages are not very pleasing to the eye, can't comment on revenue yet. However, I can say that with a few links, the sites are indexed quite nicely, some at #1 in Google. So auto content seems to work quite well for that.

WhyPark costs about $100 per year - and 1plus is free (?) and both provide 100% revenue share (?)

1plus.net blog/news look nice, but on the other hand, simple parking pages that show only sponsored links seem to have a high clickthrough rate for the ads...or do they?

If your #1 concern is selling a domain I would probably leave them all at sedo as the traffic stats are visible which helps pull them out of the 8 million plus domains listed there as a lot of buyers search by traffic stats, the pages also translate into many languages.

If your domains get some traffic and can generate some income or earn their keep then selling them may not be your #1 priority. I have used sedo, namedrive, parked, fabulous, bodis, domain sponsor, traffic club and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few and some domains do best at each provider. The biggest mistake you can make is parking them all at 1 provider and leaving them unless you are only concerned with a sale, I see domains make .10 at company A that make $4.80 at company B. Throw them all at sedo for a month, then rotate through namedrive, parked, fabulous, bodis, domain sponsor etc... compare your stats and split them where they generate the most income. If you have fresh registrations with no traffic you are better using a parking company that allows title & meta tags as they will get indexed for the term, I think parked & bodis are the best for seo if you customize the titles at both and throw in meta tags at parked, this takes time setting them all up at each provider but I have all of mine customized at over 7 or 8 parking companies which took days to do and I can now bulk edit nameservers in a matter of 2 minutes and have them all pulling from a new provider instantly which is good if a parking companies servers go down or for testing purposes, another option on low traffic domains is whypark, ppcsites, imodo, or the minisite in general. Basically there is no best parking company, gotta throw them around and give them to the company that shows ya the most dough. I will say in my 4 days of testing at bodis quite a few that were dead elsewhere produced very well.

I was similarly banned and 'accused' of engaging in click fraud which I had not. No explanation was given and each time I asked I was given very insulting e-mails back questioning my integrity which to me is one of the worst things someone can do to me. Not to mention the loss of revenue and the poor public relations of having the words 'this site has been blocked' on some good domain names which I intend to develop in the future. Thanks for your support namedrive.

In terms of dubious integrity, I would question some of the antics of the parked providers I have tried myself.

With SEDO it appears the whole world is visiting your websites and yet you recieve $0.02 in total revenue. With namedrive the visitor stats contradict all webstats preceding my parking with them. Could it be that they are less than truthful themselves? In their favour at least they put more cents in the pot compared to SEDO.

I signed up for bodis.com and left one underperforming name there and within 7 clicks earned a 10% of what my total earnings with name drive for around 150 domain names - most with better keywords than the test name left at bodis.com

I am now in the process of moving away from namedrive (without shedding a tear) - the only reason I went back to them was that SEDO's performance was so embarrasingly bad. Thank goodness for bodis.com. It will take a while to customise 150 names but I think it will be worth it.
