1plus and proxy80.com (hijacked domains?)

I did a search for some of my 1plus names and it seems that the URLs have been redirected through something called proxy80.com

My guess is somebody inserted their AdSense code and is now reaping the ad income from my 1plus sites.

This may have something to do with the spam in the e-mail and blog sections of the template that anyone can add. Anyone know how to secure 1plus sites from this sort of thing?

You may want to double check your sites to make sure they aren't hijacked. :(

Also the banner ad at the top of my sites through proxy80.com is an adult ad!

And the AdSense Ads have pound symbols instead of dollar symbols in their prices. (I'm in the U.S.)

Anyone have any idea how I can stop this?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Any examples?

When I visit your domain www.nypd.cc I don't get redirected through proxy80. It seems normal. Are you still showing impressions for your 1plus domains in your Adsense stats?

Do a google search <proxy80.com+nypd.cc> and it shows up. Not sure if that means much.

Proxy80 seems to just be a edited "cache" - to me .... Like Archive.org ??

Dunno - But Ditto on what -RJ- said above .. I'm not going to the "proxy" site

First, thanks for checking.

If you go directly to my site all is good.

If you do a search for "NYPD.CC" the proxy.80 site shows up in the SERP. My domain is nowhere to be found.

When you click on the link you get my content with an Adultfriendfinder banner ad on top of the frame.

All of the links on the page are directed through proxy80.com.

I strongly suspect that if you click on any Adsense ad (please don't btw) the revenue will go to the owner of the proxy site.

Again, you might want to double check your 1plus sites in case this is a coding issue (vulnerability?)with the template.

For the record, with the exception of no formal Help section and this particular issue I've been very happy with 1plus so far.

I've been reading about Javascript frame busters that could help end this as it seems as though someone has just framed my site into their domain.

Anyone have any experience with this?

That's just a cache dude .... And they just happen to rank in the SE's for your domain when searched.

I've seen whois searches show up first on new domains when you search google for the domain.

i doubt it as the publisher code is the same on the site and in the source of the cached site

Information and education...that's why Namepros rocks!

Thanks for the info.

But what about the Adult banner ad at the top of the site?

Who is getting the income from that ad? I don't have an affiliate account there and I've never seen adult ads on the 1plus house ads (above the site template, too).

And why would these banners show up only on the proxy (cached?) version of the site?

Is this a change in the 1plus template?

Adult banner ad belongs to the proxy owner. Almost every proxy inserts its own ad on the top of the visited page. If you use another proxy, it will do the same thing. I just check pub IDs from the page itself, and both are the same 6075465172643875.

:/ This is nothing to do with 1plus, nor is there anything 1plus can do about people caching your page and then publishing as a page of their own. There is also no breach, no scam and no security issue with 1plus.

As Mark has pointed out, this proxy80 rubbish is an automated scubber site, they bot about the web, indexing web pages and then re-publish them.

In your case, they are the ones adding the adult friend finder banner at the top of the page.
