A few weeks ago, Mark from ND offered to "optimize" my portfolio. He said that his optimization would take a few days to kick in. Being new to the domaining business, I was anxious to see the results. It's been almost a month since this optimization process, and (warning: mass understatement to follow) it hasn't been pretty.

Stats from the past week on some of my domains:

namedrivefq5.png

OMG, what is going on here? $0.00, $0.00, and $0.01 clicks?

Growing up, I learned that "there is no such thing as something for nothing." It appears that NameDrive's PPC amounts have proven that cliche` to be untrue.

I guess it's time to call it quits and move on to another parking company.

This looks bad, very bad actually. This month although i would be aiming for the bonus (impossible), and added around 20 new domains with traffic, its not looking too good either. The few 1$ clicks dont compensate the overall revenue, im not sure what to do yet.

I must admit i am also in the same boat.. I have 300 names + at namedrive i am also only seeing 0.02's on the majority of keywords.. This is using some of the top phrases and keywords i use at fabulous on domains i have there which give me $1-5 a click.

I will give Namedrive another month incase they have issues but i must admit its not looking good.

their incentive is damned near impossible when they rock out the 2 cent clicks on every single click....

NAMEDRIVE IS THE MOST AMAZING COMPANY WITH TRUE GENIUS EMINATING FROM THEIR MARKETING DEPARTMENT........

THEY HAVE MANAGED TO KEEP A STABLE OF PORTFOLIO OWNERS STILL AT NAMEDRIVE DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE BY FAR.......BY FAR THE WORST PAYING COMPANY OUT THERE....

THIS SPRING DEAL IS NOTHING BUT A JOKE.......HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO REACH THEIR MILESTONES WHEN YOU ARE LUCKY TO SEE 1 CENTS A CLICK

I just cannot understand why they still have people giving their domain names away to NAmedrive............makes no sense at all...

This is why I am hoping the new parking program that is coming up + ParkingPanel aren't a disappointment.

I am in the same boat. Have moved a majority of my names away, but there are some sitting in Sedo and Namedrive that NEED to be moved ASAP!

It seems that these two new parking companies are our only hope!

Biggest red flag about NameDrive: They offer to buy your names for X months of revenue. I tried 1 name there out of curiosity, it did horrible, and that was that. They could have the greatest landers in the world, but if I'm getting penny clicks, it's not going to make a difference.

I'm waiting to see the progress on CFguru's project. I just got approved by ParkingPanel, it's too early to tell whether it's been a good move. Funny thing about ND, though. When i had my names there, optimized the living daylights out of it, i made a few cents here and there, even from domains from the legal department, which usually are very high paying keywords,...they are simply not worth participating in their programs.

Parking Panel has a few design flaws that make administration of each domain a bit more complicated/click intense than it should be, they make up for it with the page designs and interface design. Let's hope they continue as attentive with the NP members as Ed from ND once used to be. Britt from PP is certainly off to a good start.

Quit your bitching people. ND has been honest and forthcoming that they are NOT the best parking company for ALL domains. The fact you are getting $.00-$.02 means the clicks you are getting are most likely coming from asia. Other parking services ban some of this traffic so you wouldn't get anything. Moreover, other parking companies that may give you ~$.10 for a click ND would give you $.02 make up the difference on higher clicks. Good luck finding a click on Sedo over $2. I've had a click of close to $10 at ND.

I've got no complaints about ND. I average between $.14 and $.20 a click each month. At Sedo, my average was about half of that. ND gives you a plethora of options for landers as well.

You guys will never see the light will you!

PARK YOUR DOMAINS WHERE THEY WILL EARN THE BEST! :tu:

Our House - Your domains aren't exactly of quality when they receive less than 15 uniques in a month... perhaps your traffic is LOW paying! What type of domains are they? I have small names related to myspace that get low paying clicks as well.. but thats just because of the names!

If your portfolio isn't performing at NameDrive, try other places... NameDrive I have to admit isn't the best for all domains.. NO COMPANY IS! You have to optimize/move to different parking companies to see which company the domain will perform the best on.

I have found European and international traffic to perform extremely well at namedrive.. However I have my portfolio spread across 5 different parking companies because each company has its own strengths. Instead of complaining and wasting your time here, you can start moving your portfolio somewhere else!

I am in no way sticking up for NameDrive.. I'm simply tired of seeing these posts about NameDrive.. if your revenue sucks there, move elsewhere!

Things are down a bit this month but not all that bad for average domains.

xxxxxxxxxxxx US$ 1.69 91 33 % 36.26 US$ 0.05
xxxxxxxxxxxx US$ 1.29 31 10 % 32.26 US$ 0.13
xxxxxxxxxxxxx US$ 2.38 20 8 % 40.00 US$ 0.30
xxxxxxxxxxxxx US$ 0.11 8 3 % 37.50 US$ 0.04
xxxxxxxxxxxx US$ 0.02 8 1 % 12.50 US$ 0.02
xxxxxxxxxxxx US$ 1.81 4 4 % 100.00 US$ 0.45
xxxxxxxxxxxx US$ 0.05 4 1 % 25.00 US$ 0.05
xxxxxxxxxxx US$ 0.48 1 1 % 100.00 US$ 0.48

The 1 showing $0.13 is way down in both traffic and average/click. It usually averages $0.60 - $0.70/click.

Horses for courses

I am getting average 0.09 per click, low 0.1 high 0.35, on Thai IDN , Sedo for those were of course completely useless as they have yet to realise the potential going to waste.

However, for my general asccii , I switched to SedoPro about one month ago and have seen an across the board 30% increase in revenue,

For Chinese names I use Dopa, not a hell of a lot of revenue yet but in general the hits are not blocked and I am seeing a steady increase in traffic.

As I said - "horses for courses"

Your ctr is amazing. Optimization is usually finding the best converting words and I would say he found it. Also is this screen shot before or after the 48 hour lag. If your not happy go elsewhere mate.

What do you mean? You just built mini-sites?

Namedrive IMO is the worst of them all. But that's my opinion.

You should try Sedopro, they are indeed better.

Personally I was not bitching, I was congratulating ND on their masterplan, because whatever it is = its working.........

And to dispell the myth, none of my traffic was coming from Asia, it was from good ol fashioned The Waltons middleamerica territory.....and it didnt make a damn difference - still o.oo clicks, all the way through to oh my god is that seventeen cents a click!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a DITECH.DOM refi?????? Amazing!!!!!!!!Who would have thought mortgage refi ads pay out as much as seventeen cents a click???!!!

I moved a while back to parked, trafficz and a couple of others and all without exception had paid out more by day 8 than ND had the entire month..............

Whoever sticks with ND is the type of person that wouldnt pull their hand out of a boiling pot of water

I agree namedrive sucks big time. I've moved my sites to mini-sites where the PPC is 6-8cents and is consistent. I'm tired of seeing 0.01 cent clicks..

My 0.02 cents :)
