Never had a letter from Namecheap but i'm UK based so that may make the difference.

If you mean actual hard copy/paper letters, the answer is no.

They usually send an email confirmation, though for some reason I don't always receive them...

I always receive email confirmations when using namecheap.
And also a message on namecheap itself.
