Name with .net or .in or name+ "some words" .com is better?

hi all,

i am planning to host some websites . i am not able to get the .com . .NET and .in extension of the same names are available . so i am confused . eg yyyy.com is not available . but yyyy.net and yyyy.in is available .if i want to get some .com i have to suffix or prefix some words and get it . yyyynew.com . one more thing is charging more than 700 per year .

if i go for a .net extrension . will it be ok ? .will it affect the search engine rankings ? . I am in a total confusion . can anybody please help me

i have one more doubt . .in or .net is better

In your position i'd buy the .net
However if your looking for a certain type of domain name might I suggest you go to the domain names wanted section in NP and post for a domain name you are looking for.You could well get a better name choice in the .com for reg fee or slightly more who knows.

.com is always prefered in my opinion,so before rushing for the .net post in these forums for a name.
