Name.com set to raise prices?

11 days left until name.com raises prices. This was inevitable, they were selling at a loss to get customers and now its time for them to start making some money I guess. I wonder how much they will set there prices to?

i think most of the customers or registrants will lose a couple of domains if they don't renew.

most merchants (registrar/reseller) are torn between two lovers: to raise or not to raise, obviously they will choose the first one to retain the business and lose some, gain some.

I for one, have chosen to renew some and let some dropped it's the economy crisis.

Name, will still lose out on customers.

errr...right now forever since I am not losing money. But thats why I dont accept paypal payment unless over 20$ because paypal fees will cause me to lose money per reg.

I guess it is time they start to make a profit. Godaddy did the same thing, ran super cheap domain reg with coupons until they became so popular that they could eventually have a default price that offers a healthy profit.

i registered one domain few days ago... i didnt know they were going to rise the prices so i think i am lucky

I expect they keep the prices in the range of GoDaddy or Dynadot.

Too bad, I was starting to use them. Hopefully, they'll remain low. Anywhere in the $6-$7 range would be fine with me. If they're $7+, I'll keep regging with GoDaddy.

You can just transfer out when it comes time to renew if they rise prices to much. Unless they are cheaper then other registrars, I wont go with them. They dont have tasting which sucks so if you make a bad reg you cant get refund within 5 days like you can at GD.

More than likely the prices will be around $6.99 any higher than that they will lose business to bigger dealers like GoDaddy. As long as they stay under $10 i will continue to use them, even though i can get a cheaper price else where. I just LOVE name.com too much to not use them.

GD do, they just dont want you to know about it lol. Dynadot is a very good registrar, I like them a lot but I like my money more and others are cheaper so I only reg .me with Dynadot.
