My One Year Anniversary on NamePros!

December 29th, 2004 was my first day on NamePros and I registered on the 30th. To celebrate a year here I want to wish everyone at this extra-fine online community the best, and to tell you what I think of this place.

NamePros is really something special.

The staff is extraordinary and extremely involved. The staff here at NamePros ~ they talk the talk and walk the walk, and they do it extremely well.

The forum itself is the absolute best example of a forum. Intuitive, well-organized, with features galore that enhance the experience and never bog it down. And NP$ ~ wow! The currency of this board is a big part of the lifeblood of the commerce that goes on here...it's all just too cool for school!

Finally, the members are what make it all happen here, fostered by the staff's guidance and the foundation of the forum itself. I get such a kick out of meeting youngsters and oldsters from Wisconsin and around the world here. People with all kinds of skills and all kinds of goodwill in their communications and dealings with other members.

Two things I'd like to ask of you for my one year anniversary here (which falls on my birthday by the way):

- Go out and recruit another member so the NamePros community is well over 25,000 strong starting the New Year!

and

- Share a joke (and I get to use the jokes somewhere) and/or share a wish for the New Year ~ for this community or for all communities ~ in this thread.

Thank you for the kind NP$, Webforging. I don't think anything like this has ever happened at NamePros - wow! I hope that you have a wonderful birthday both in 'real life' and on NamePros.

I'm wishing for 'world peace' in 2006, I know world peace is impossible. But I hope that America pulls out of Iraq, the Avian flu doesn't get started, and that North Korea calms down. I also wish that there are no more hostages/captures in countries like Iraq with all of those outlaws. World peace is a far stretch like I said, but I hope that we can do little things to stop the continuing violence (especially that in the Middle East).

Anyway, this gag may have already been told here before (maybe even on this thread), but here goes anyway:

TINY TAD​

Dude walks into a bar and says he wants two whiskey shots right away.

The bartender says, "hey, you must be thirsty - you want 'em both at once or one at a time?"

The customer says, "definitely make it both at once - the second one's for my little pal Tad here." And as he says this he opens his front shirt pocket and out pops a little three-inch high Tom Thumb type guy.

"WOW! I never saw a midget THAT small before!," says the barkeep. "Can he even drink alcohol?"

"Heck, ya," replies the guy, and with that, his three-inch tall pal downs the entire shot of booze.

"Amazing!" replies the dumbfounded bartender, as by now a small crowd is starting to form around them. "What else can he do? Can he also walk on his own?"

"You'd better believe it," says the tiny man's friend, as he flips a quarter to the other end of the bar. In a second, the little fella dashes off, grabs the coin and drags it back to his pal.

"Incredible!" replies the bartender, almost in shock at this point, as the crowd has now become huge. "Can he talk, too?"

"Oh, hell ya" says the guy, "Hey, Tad - tell everybody about that time we were in Africa awhile back, remember? And you called their witch-doctor a big, fat, lying bullshitter...!" :yell:
