My buddy was commenting the other day how running a domain business is so streamlined in the sense you don't need much. So I figured it would be interesting to start a thread for people to let others know what exactly you utilize to conduct your domain business.
I will go first.... I am interested in seeing everyone's responses.
Portable:
First I have my laptop, an IBM with an AT&T Broadband card so I can get the internet anywhere.
I have a Blackberry which gets all my email etc and allows me to check a few things on the go.
Office:
I pretty much run my domain business off my couch, I have a really nice office at home but for some reason Ii would rather sit on my couch with my laptop.
Digital:
I have three web hosting providers. I have a HostGator, HostMonster, and another off brand I have had for years and years....
I obviously have my growing number of domains mostly at GoDaddy and FXDomains.
An Excel Spreadsheet containing every domain, idea, and transaction...
New Addition!!!:
I didn't know where to list this so I figured I would give it its own category. Just last week I bought a MagicJack, it is a VOIP phone line that is like a USB drive that goes anywhere and will work with a phone or the mic and speakers on your PC. I was tired of my cell phone ringing all the time with calls so I bought this, it was $40 for the first year and only $19/year after. So far I like it alot as I got a Chicago based number, The voicemails get recorded in digital format and emailed to me, best of all no monthly bill... Does anyone else here use this? So far I absolutely love it...
To sum it up I could put my entire domain office in a small briefcase and I am off, I LOVE IT!!:kickass:
