Hi Everyone,

Marc from Moniker.com here. We are about to relaunch Moniker in time for Namescon so I thought it would be good to have a place to post feedback, ask questions etc.

I will also be attending Namescon if anyone wants to meet in person, happy to take some time to answer questions, provide a quote on custom domain pricing or give demos on the new platform. If you would like to speak with me at Namescon or at any other time then please feel free to DM me.

Very excited about the new Moniker platform which is specifically developed for domain investors and will be adding a lot of new unique features and products over the next little while.

In the next couple of months. It is actually ready but we need to finish the upgrade of all of the customers from the old system before we can switch it on. This is scheduled for the next 1-2 months.

Thank you as well @Markjons! The main feature of the platform is just good, solid bulk domain management but there are few nice tools worth looking at. We have an external domain tracker which you can post your whole domain portfolio in and we will pull the expiry date, registrar and in most cases the renewal price, you can then get additional renewal reminders from us for those names and use our DNS. We have just added a "Treasury" folder where you can put your highest value names behind an additional layer of 2FA, we'll be adding extra features to this that we think will be really helpful very soon. We also have a filterable Daily Drop feed which picks up the Verisign .com/.net feed and let's you filter based on length and a star rating.

In all honesty, the biggest shift for us is that we have moved from a system that had to support Moniker and another brand which catered more to Retail customers (i.e. 1 or 2 domains plus hosting) and we are now on a dedicated system which we can focus on Domain Investors. So watch this space!

I'll be giving a demo of the new platform in full at Namescon on Thursday, June 6th at 11:45am if anyone can join, will also be recording this so that we can share it later on.

I just registered an account and found that it is simply a domain management platform, not a domain buying and selling platform like Dan. This does not align with the description "Built For Domain Investors" that you mentioned.

We have the ability but unfortunately we have had to turn this off some time ago as it was restriction investment in our parent company. Thanks for raising as I will check in on whether we are able to accept these again now.

Yes, it is just a domain management platform but it is one built specifically with people with large domain portfolios in mind. We have integrations with Afternic Fast transfer and SedoMLS in place but need to wait until we have completely upgraded our current customers to the new platform before we can make available.

We'll also be adding more integrations with marketplaces, brokers etc. as we go and will have some features planned that we hope will make larger sales easier to handle. We aren't looking to compete with Dan.com etc. at the moment though.

If you have an active product in your old account it will be moved over in the next month or two. If you don't have anything then you can go ahead and re-register now on the new platform.

Hi Acroplex,

We have a lot of available security features, like the standard 2FA as well as 2FA via a hardware key. We also have the ability to "lock" actions on certain domains and only allow changes after 2FA's are completed.

Outside of that we have a few settings within our notifications section which customer's can use to notify them via email if someone logs into an account, if a transfer of one of their domains is initiated etc. These are fairly comprehensive.

We don't allow customers to "push" domains to other accounts unless they explicitly ask our support team to enable this in their account.

Outside of this, in the next 6 months we have plans to add the ability to choose where the registrar your domains are assigned to is legally registered, with the option of either the US or the Bahamas, and possibly Europe.

Hopefully I have answered some of the question, if there is anything specific that you want to check on please let me know.

I think unlike some others u have for very long time neglected change and progress. I wont be part of it or your future but I wish u luck and hope that neglect wasn't for too long and is reversible. I think u have alot of work ahead of u. gl

Can you give us the reasoning for this? This would be a negative for me. I don't want to spend my time talking or chatting with someone just to make a simple push. Or would this be a 1 time set up for my account

It would be a one time setup for your account. This is done in case someone accesses your account once, it is easier and quicker for them to push the domains out then to transfer them out. So we limit it as default so that if a customer wants to enable it we get the chance to ask them to add additional security measures to their account like 2FA etc.
