Domain Empire

events NamePros at NamesCon - Jan. 2015

Spaceship Spaceship
As we all know, NamesCon is being held on January 11th-14th in 2015. Many will be attending and looking forward to networking with other domain investors, industry leaders, and related companies. In business, networking is a task that should be on your daily to-do list to extend brand awareness within and outside of your primary industry.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation for any NamePros members and their guests to reach out and connect one-on-one with our staff that will be attending.

NamePros staff attending NamesCon:

For those of you that missed me at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. West May/June in 2014, I am excited to hopefully meet you at NamesCon. Don't miss out on some one-on-one time with me, if you are able to spot me within the crowd using my small avatar picture. I'll be more than happy to talk to you about anything industry related or even random topics about life so that we can get to know one another better.

A sample of topics that I’ve spoken about at past events:
  • Domain Evaluations
  • NamePros Member Support
  • NamePros Related Suggestions
  • Domain Investing and Flipping
  • Selling Strategies
  • Domain Development
  • Domain Monetization
  • Networking and Cooping
  • Advertising Opportunities
  • Marketing Strategies
  • Seeking End Users
  • The Freedom of Working on Your Watch
  • Branding and Design
  • And More!
January 2015 is the time to put your 2016 New Year’s resolutions in motion and stop procrastinating. Let's dig our heels into the ground firmly, propelling ourselves forward together as a community of businesspersons and as potential cooperatives striving toward the same goals.

I wish all of you the best 2015 possible and look forward to collaborating with each and every one of you in person at NamesCon if you’re interested.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
@ramkumaritrvs, The conference is not being recorded. This could definitely be added to a post NamesCon response. The founders seem nice enough and genuinely interested in making it accessible to everyone. Maybe they can try that next year.

@David Walker, welcome back to the states.

Last night at NamesCon was great. I was a bit tired, just rolling into Las Vegas & then took a couple hours to recoup before heading to the 8pm to 11pm social event. NamePros had a banner at the event last night as well:

Also check the photo of what the Tropicana looks like (that's the view from my room across the street at the Excalibur):

Met with several people last night and looking forward to meeting several more today. I'll try to get more pictures today and will hopefully be able to attach them to this thread tonight. I think @Edward Z. got some great pics last night and should be adding them when he gets a chance.

For those of you at the event that haven't met me yet, don't be shy, walk over and say hello. I may look rough around the edges, but I promise I don't bite... Well, not too hard anyways.. ha ;)

I'll be in and out all day till about 7pm. Not sure off the top of my head what time that event is. I'll have to double check it. Were you wanting to hook up at some point today? If so, you can shoot me a text at: (removed due to sms spam) and we can schedule something. ;)

@smurge, did you watch Howard Lefkowitz presentation, most specifically on his plans for some of his .ninja domains. Lol!
Maybe that's why we've been undetected.

@ramkumaritrvs, The conference is not being recorded.... Maybe they can try that next year.
That would require 6-7 cameras rolling almost constantly.
With the crews barely keeping sound working, I don't think video is on the menu.

I will post video interviews with NamePro Alan Glennon, Eric Lyon, Luke Webster, and George Verdugo conducted at the event.
Those will be forthcoming after I get back to the everyday grind in Seattle.

Video may not be on the menu at the moment, but it is always possible. There are many conferences that record and offer video footage to their registered guests after the event. Some charge for this footage and others include the videos in the cost of the conference registration.

This was only the second year for NamesCon, and I'm sure there will be many more to come. With that being said, demand will increase, and we can't forget that this industry is global. They will have to have global reach as a goal. Especially since they are set on keeping the conference in Las Vegas only.

As far as the number of cameras rolling, they can start small. Not every event or session needs to be recorded at first.

I feel ya.

This year, I was going to video record some sessions, but Richard and Jothan were too busy to go thru the deets with me.

I am hoping to do that next year, with their permission / partnership.
