.mobi .mobi - What exactly do they do?!

I'm not all that new to namepros, I just dont understand this whole .mobi frenzy? What are they? And whats special about them?

like there is a website namepros.com or other webste like google.com it ends with a .com this is call the domain extension so .mobi a domain ectension like google.mobi especially made for users that access the internet from mobile so wehn u go to google from mopbile u dont go to google.com u go to google.mobi hope this helps cheers
