.mobi .mobi traffic

I've noticed over the last week or so that my .mobi's are getting alot of type in traffic at the moment, more than usual. I'd like to think it's members of the public trying .mobi out, but i would be more inclined to say that it's .mobi investors poking around for available domains to reg. Has anyone else noticed this?

Unfortunately this is all bot traffic or people looking at our offers.

I have not had one click for over 200 visits since Sunday.

Where are you parking? I am getting some clicks and revenue. I am at NameDrive who scores a 5/5 on compliance. This may not make a hill of beans, but Parked does not have .mobi landers as well as a few others.

Plus my developed sites are getting great traffic and some clicks.

For my parked names they are all at Sedo.

Otherwise my developed names are still making money.

Whoa...that would not be surprising to me at all. International jet set appeal, Cannes film festival and Monte Carlo are all associated with the French Riviera not to metion what is commonly referred to as the Italian Riviera and Adriatic Riviera. You're looking at pretty valuable real estate and quite a strech of land on the Med. Mercy, don't forget the Casino action that goes on in these areas.

Dont forget the English Riveria! Brixham,Paignton & Torquay! (Torbay!!)

Could this traffic be coming from bots / spiders - perhaps from MTLD?

I ask this because my default portfolio at Namedrive is getting 10.85% CTR, and I have a portfolio of 'keypad typos' of generics - stuff like vide6.com - and these are getting 10.00% CTR. But my .mobis are getting 0.48% CTR - doesn't add up.

BTW, the typos are set to .mobi template.

This traffic is freaking me out!!!!!

Made the above post 2 days ago - yesterdays .mobi CTR = 25.93% !

Best single domain on the day was titandass.mobi - 10 uniques and 7 clicks...in total just 20 got traffic and 6 had clicks.

Is there a search engine that is just showing results for .mobi sites if the request is coming from a mobile device?

Also a very highly collectible pottery/porcelain manufacturer. Wonder if an antiques collector or dealer snatched this up?

It's looking like a developer based in Exeter, UK rather than the pottery company! Hopefully we'll see some action with it soon, i could use it if he doesn't want it!!

Starting to think it is bots or speculators searching. Hit accumulation going in alphabetical order. "A" through "F" have the most clicks. Beyond that, a scattering here and there. Some are known to be legitimate searches as they were high to begin with.

Total overall hits =888. Total clicks =1. CTR 0.11% totaling $0.07. YEE HAW!

(pssst...Me speculates that tis da vork of MobiPhobies speculating. Shure yam quiet heer of late.)

On the other side of things, FUX.mobi AdMob stats report 1368 hits, 56 clicks, 4.2% CTR. Again, I have no idea of knowing the actual usage of this site, per se. Also, site was off line 5-6 days in DNS server move and such.

On 04/16/07 when the thread started, I had a grand total of 51 hits. Now I am at 888. Quite remarkable in such a short period of time.

No, my .mobis are at ND too.

I never paid much attention to mobi stats, but saw a couple of months back that they were increasing slightly (from nothing at all). This week I seperated the mobis into a seperate folder and can see the traffic building.

I vaguely recall that my names were being hit in an almost alphabetical, systematic way. But now, they are entirely random.

Perhaps about 2 weeks ago (April 7) after the fiasco at parked. All are seperated into a .mobi folder from the onset for that very purpose.

Staggering number of increase hits in just a few days. 51 hits in about 11 days and over 800 in less than 4 days when this thread started.
