.mobi Increased .mobi traffic?

Is anyone else in the .mobi world experiencing lots of traffic on their mobis??? It's been over the past 3 or 4 days type in's have rocketed! Dunno if it's the MTLD up to their tricks or whether it's domainers/public anyone got a similar story??

Theres another thread about this here. I've had a spike in traffic too, a BIG spike. I hope it continues because clicks are coming in.

My traffic is up to an average of around 1000 hits daily on antioxidants.mobi... Very odd granted the site hasn't been updated since early July and daily visitors are averaging about 80. I don't think each visitor is visiting 12+ pages on average (Alexa reports an average of 5 pages, which seems more reasonable).

Since July, I've had 58 uniques delivered to me courtesy of search engines (including 6 from yahoo.mobi).

Looking up date from the last 3 months (May-August), I have received 86% mobile traffic.

In the June-August timeframe, this increases to 87%.

From July-August, this jumps to 93%.

This may not seem like large differences, but when you consider that the remaining 7% for the July-August timeframe accounted for some 2000 hits, you begin to see a pattern of substantially increased mobile traffic (22k mobile hits since July 1).

I don't have any stats (that I'm aware of) but I'm parked up with Monikers 'Traffic Club' so maybe I could access some numbers?
Has anyone worked out whats happening yet? - It can't just be i-phone etc.. can it? (thats a huge leap in traffic in such a short time!) - Maybe, just maybe this .mobi extension is starting to look promising already?

I think a large part of it is a combination of the iPhone and the awareness generated by the heavy marketing + awareness campaign initiated by Apple. Because every iPhone comes standard with internet access, all your friends would hence have a first hand account of what it's like browsing the web on a cell phone. End result... My hits are up considerably on all mobile operating systems.
