.mobi .MOBI Showcase Thread

Hey, I thought there should be a thread where users can showcase there newly acquired .MOBI domains!

I think we are all picking up some good domains.

However, a word of caution: please take risks on buying these domains with the money you can afford to "lose". I am afraid some people are going overboard with getting some names that may not bear any fruit. Just search "tulip mania" and see what I mean.

This is pretty good. "Towing" is a premium reserved name and obviously a good fit for .mobi. "Towing service" would be the next most logical option. Should get preference in any search results that are mobi specific.

Actually any web site can serve content to mobile devices, regardless of the TLD. .MOBI just provides some level of assurance to users that the site will be usable on their mobile devices.

Why is .MOBI better than ccTLDs? For one thing, ccTLDs are country specific, whereas .MOBI is country neutral so its better from a branding/reach perspective (i.e it is international). .MOBI also has some heavy concerted marketing muscle behind it from major corporations and the like, unlike ccTLDs, or really any other TLD in the past. It remains to be seen how this will translate to success for .MOBI, whether it will be the next .COM (success), or the next .BIZ (failure), but I think most folks here are optimistic.

There are still many names that are much better than these available. I would read as much as you can here, learn about OVT and stick to short keyword names.
