New to NP.. jumping in on the dotmobi game.. My 2:

VegasAdvisor.mobi
LasVegasAdvisor.mobi

There are still many names that are much better than these available. I would read as much as you can here, learn about OVT and stick to short keyword names.

I agree, that's an expensive first lesson in my book. Then again, I registered a ton of crappy .com's when I started out, so I probably spent just as much, if not more.

I keep meaning to either take those links down or put the sites back up. I've been too busy making random lists of names

I know the sedo one is violating the rules though, so I'll get around to removing that one.

As far as xovt, I did get a nice amount of traffic to that one, so once I find out where I put that script, I'll get it back up. It was a nice bulk checker, and it always seemed a little faster than the inventory site.

Hope you weren't talking about mine :hehe: Although you couldn't be cuz I only reged really good ones, lol. We all make mistakes, especially in a landrush frenzy. I know I have a couple I wish I didn't reg. Fortunately most of them have really good ovt and have ovt with ext.

I honestly feel that this was a very sneaky land rush. I don't think that there has been a better opportunity for domainers in years. I'm glad I got in. I wish I got more good ones. And...I wish I could afford to get in on the premium name auctions.
We are talking about the initial land rush for a domain targetted towards a new device (well...not new, but the first domain specific to a device or set of devices).
I want to sell mine now and reap the rewards, but feel confident enough to put these in a vault and sit on them for a couple of years while things get crazy in the mobile world.

I also registered a few LLL .mobis &
autocredit.mobi
warehouses.mobi
reuse.mobi
bods.mobi
honky.mobi
mention.mobi

& a couple more that I plan on using myself.

I just wish i had of jumped in earlier [ famous last words] & registered some better names.

Also when it was time to register, I had lost my list and now I wonder why I registered the names I did. My only excuse was it was 3.00 a.m. Anyway it is only money.

By the time I found the list , most of the names where no longer available.

It will be very interesting to see the drop rate of mobi's in 2 years time.

If it makes you feel any better I think bods.mobi is a great name, I almost regged it a few times but went with other names with more OVT. However I think as people get used to using a mobile phone for internet and start looking for shorter version of words bods will be a really awesome name!!!

Owing to time difference i stayed up most of night. Went to bed for a few hours and was woken by the bank phoning to say there had been all these strange charges to my credit card during the night, which they had refused!

Thanks. I was suprised no one took it. I hope that the singular version(RFID.mobi) goes for a billion dollars. lol I think if someone pays alot for the premium .mobi then they are more likely to develope it. Looking forward to the first auction to set the bar for other .mobi sales.
