How do you make money off of a .mobi extension?

:o ..do you even know what you're writing anymore??? I'm not the one upset or ranting about mTLD, YOU are! So why don't you 'lobby' them! I'm just trying to understand why you say one extension is 'long and awkward' to monetize, but not others that are the same or longer!??! (again there will be no clarification on this.) It really seems that 'your' agenda is to consistantly criticize one particular extension, and those that have or may be wanting to invest in it.

So, since you won't answer the question (numerously asked) of "..why you say one extension is 'long and awkward' to monetize, but not others that are the same or longer!??!", I guess everyone should take it that you don't have a reason or answer to justify your 'statement' of such, and that you just post such replies as unsubstantiated and meaningless garble, and what is appearing to be just false statements to confuse newer domainers, and inflame others here.

The thread starter did not ask whether or not .mobi can be spelled .mobey
The question is not whether or not anyone approves of 4-letter TLDs
The question has nothing to do with MTLD, the validity of the extension, anyone's opinion of the extension, etc.

Blimn asked a very genuine question... and was provided with real answers.

I hope everyone can see how pointless it is to derail the topic of this thread. Whether or not you love or hate an extension makes very little difference to someone who is trying to monetize that extension and makes ZERO difference to those who are "already" monetizing an extension.

it was very nice, and IMHO... above & beyond the call of duty for u8l2 to post the data/screens that he did. That took real guts and a willingness to share... and instead of being thanked all-around, certain people have chosen to push their own agenda. What does that accomplish? Absolutely nothing... do not try to derail the topic of conversation with constant, repetitive rants that serve no purpose other than to breed ill-will. All you accomplish is scaring off other domainers from wanting to engage in a real conversation free from the same combative posts that always follow certain extensions around.

When it comes down to the stats that were posted, you either believe the stats he posted or you don't, but the bottom line was that u8l2 tried to provide real substance to this thread and actually answered the original question in detail.

What many domainers fail to understand is that ANY extension can be monetized. It all comes down to what your "working smart" vs "working hard" ratio is. Do your own due diligence, follow the bread crumbs that others leave behind, don't expect others to do the work for you, don't expect anyone to draw you an exact road map, you must read between the lines and glean information wherever you may find it. Listen to everyone's opinion (at least "once", then tune them out) and then see what the successful people are doing... and watch and learn. You can blaze your own trail... or carefully follow in the footsteps that others have left behind... there's plenty of money out there... just open your eyes.

and imho (and based on my own personal experience) any extension/domain works... C/N/O, .biz, .mobi, .ws, .cc, .info, .tv, hyphens, no hyphens, etc...


but it's truly sad to see the same conversations taking place in countless threads... namepros is a vast resource that should remain unpolluted... and the end result is always the same, splinter groups, exodus here and there. It's just sad that domainers are so busy fighting amongst themselves when the real threat is looming over the horizon.
