Sales like this why i haven't invested in MR domains, it's not profitable enough. 'Chat' should be one of the best keywords and yet the .com goes for mid xxx range.

I do think it's a good buy though, looks like a domainer has bought it and they should make money.

Mixed Reality isn't here yet, it is still in development.

This was a domain auction on Snapnames so probably was a domainer purchase.

I bought some of my best VR domains for less than this when VR already had mainstream release.

MR is where VR & AR are heading.

Do you know the prices of premium VR domains 3 years ago?

MR came from nowhere, some saw an opportunity, others thought it's a can worms.

You can find some other reasons, this one is not good enough as it doesn't have a grip on reality.
Time will tell
