Our directory used to be #1 for "targeted links backs" but had second thoughts and instead wanted to rank number 1 on the other keyword which is more likely to be searched

Thanks all! Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section :D

I know it not really worth bragging about as they keyword is just a minor one for our niche. It was a little experiment I have been conducting to see how forum posts affect SERP. As soon as I applied the changes, I saw after a month that we are now ranking for the mentioned keyphrase - for which we never ranked before. This was just an experiment and no onpage factor was changed.

Seeing some good results, I would definitely apply the same technique in some major keywords in the future and excited to see the same results


We also rank the same at Yahoo :D
