Mini sites vs Parking

I hope this is the right section for this discussion.

I've never had much success parking domains, no doubt due to the fact that I dont own any really really good domains.

For people with a good lot of average domains, do you prefer parking them over developing mini sites on them? Mini sites meaning 5-20 pages of unique content coupled with a few article submissions for traffic (yes you can get traffic just from article submissions).

Who here actually develops some/most of their domains and are your results better than parking?

Anyone else with comments on this is welcome to join in

imho, to create that page will need more time compared to just setting an NS at domain registrar. :D
for now, parking is fastest way to get $$$

If your domains dont generate traffic it is also the fastest way to gain dust.

OP: Development will only increase traffic and revenue on domains not getting anything. Some domains do better parked others do better developed.

I've been putting small sites up on many of my domains. I can create sites pretty quickly and since i don't get much revenue parking, Im looking forward to seeing results from sites that I develop and leave.

I recommend refreshing the pages with new content atleast every week if not every day.

I have many sites which haven't been updated in 6 months - 2 years which are ranking top 5 for many search terms.

I don't make my developed sites public, sorry.
Most are travel related or focussed on a tight niche market.

i think he meant he doesn't disclose what those sites are publicly, as in he doesn't tell people what they are.

when i find the time i prefer to develop as well as it can be quite fun, but all my domains get parked in the interim.

Any domain which is not doing great on parked pages should be developed into mini site. Writing 10-15 articles on site for niche and then keep submitting one article per month to article directories (minimum). This sure will bring some traffic and some money. Once you taste success add more flavor (affiliate products related to niche)


I have developed one ,INFO site based on one niche, 20-25 articles posted on it. Site is bringing daily $1 avg.

I am slowly building all my portfolio into mini sites.

Just think if you have 100, 200.. 1000 site portfolios and each bringing minimum $1. Do math.
