Has anyone else noticed that the min bids @ snapnames for CVCV.com's is now $1500!!! What's with that???
Looks like some of us are going to be priced out of the bidding and the price of any CVCV.com on the market is going to be at least $1500 from now on.

Yeah, I was just browsing through Snap and noticed that too. Seems quite ridiculous to just slap a minimum of $1,500 on them all.

I didn't really notice until I'd put a few into my cart and saw that my total was $6240!!
I thought there was some thing wrong with the calculation until I took another look!!

wait some time and will be $5K on CVCV and 2K on VCVC

Also min $100 soon for any LLLL.com as soon as there is the total buy out.

Hey Charley, just put max 4 letters and check .com only. No need for any keyword. This will give you all available 3&4 letter .coms dropping in next 30 days. You just have to go through the list to find what you want to bid on. If you are looking for CVCV's you just need to look down the min bid and you will soon find them....they are all $1500!

These are retail, not market prices. I doubt these would ever reach 1k in an auction.

apparently, they don't want to have too many people "watching" the auctions. Lately there were hundreds of $60 bidders and only 5-10 people getting into the game seriously.. too bad, I really enjoyed lurking those auction to see how high they went.

Yep, I see all of them $1500.

How can you who the buyer is without joining the auction ?

BTW, reps added. :)

Well, here's a shameless plug...

Not all CVCV.com's will sell for $5,000. I own several CVCV.com, better than a lot of the one's that sell on snapnames, and I am auctioning several of them right now on sedo. The best part is that you can likely purchase several of them for a LOT LESS than what they sell at snapnames. These include fuca.com, fulo.com, wuba.com, hibe.com, and A LOT MORE. If you are interested in reading more, please go to the link below:

I have fofu.com ending today at 4:00 pm EST and fuca.com ending today at 5:00 pm EST.

The ones that are listed with a high price and ones that are owned and not dropping - Buydomains had loads of names for sale there a while ago - if you look up the whois record you will see it is not due to expire.

They seem to be doing that more and more lately, they were toying about the idea to let people list them, but for now it is only for the chosen few.

There was also loads of financial (mostly hyphen) names listed with high starting prices a couple of weeks ago.

My point is, that although you may be able to get CVCV's for less than $1500 now. If this $1500 min bid continues @ Snap other dropcatchers such as Enom etc. will jump on the bandwagon and soon you will not be able to get a CVCV.com for less than $1500.

So Gazzip you are saying that these are not actually going to drop? This is in effect an auction by the owner with a reserve of $1500?

Probably owned by one of the big boys, trying to sell them off while the LLLL.com hype is high.

That is a good news for me, but also a bad news...

Good because of I have serveral CVCV.COM, hope they are worthy some soon

Bad because of my Domain DOFY.COM just sold $750 on Sedo Auction 3 days ago (Got an offer at $600 buy a NPer here then send to Sedo live Auction... but get a very sad result :( )

That's assuming anyone would buy one for $1,500. There are better options in that price range. Unless it an acronym or the initials of your company they are way over priced.

Maybe.. but I still think they will sit for a long time before an end user buys them. That's to say the prices are being driven by speculation rather then demand. If the demand appears fine, if not the prices will drop.

You may be surprised, but CVCV domain names, with any kind of quality are flying off the shelves at 1k+ I know of about 20 CVCV sales in the last 30 days which are all under NDA's...
