"AR" is what Apple has been using in their marketing thus far. VR has been rebranded by Facebook as "Metaverse" so VR is not as buzzy of a buzzword anymore, but that's not to say there aren't anymore VR sales. I think Metaverse has a bright future as a brandword in domaining for at least the next 2 years. AR will likely pick up when Apple makes its announcement... And VR could pick back up again, because there are rumors that Apple is also releasing a VR headset. I suspect they could call it a Metaverse headset, because it will be capable of AR (with a screen and cameras rather than glass lens) and also VR. The other possibility is that they'll call it mixed reality but I think that's less likely. My bets are on AR being their main marketing word as it has been in the past.
