Have really given this reg some thought. Low OVT of 2500, but google listings of over 1.5 billion - more than 3 x the number for sex!!

This tells me that there are an awful lot of businesses out there that charge potential clients a premium to join their members only club -i.e credit card companies, hotels, airplanes, sams club, magazine memberships, gym memberships..etc etc..

My personality usually makes me turn off to any concept of memberships that require a premium...and I am sure I am not at all alone in this. I hate being sold, and I especially hate being sold on the idea of paying money for the priviledge of spending money......

Now, imagine if these companies out there could advertise their products in a small tv commercial, and be viewed by potential customers from the comfort of their own home - could turn many automatic no's into alot of possible maybes!!!

Get my point!! Companies will pay for their own infommercials, providing free video content and allow potential customers out there to have a totally interactive experiance on the site....

I would love honest feedback on this reg. And yes, I did reg membersonlytv.com!!

On that subject, membersonly.com is a website dedicated to a fashion lable - so no competition there and membersonly.net is a parked site - so still no competition....not yet anyway!! :)

Thanks Wineguy, but the least you could do is say why you are of that opinion.

Maybe you could develop a marketplace/auction site... selling classic "Membersonly" jacket's...popular in the 80's. .....Just kidding.

Miller, not a good choice at all, IMO Sorry to be so brutely honest. I just do not see any potential for that name. Even though the namespace of .tv is growing there are still many develop worthy names available.

mind you liveshop is rubbish as well. Sooner or later we are going to end up eating our words in this forum.

You know I could take the theme in a totally different direction aswell............members only .tv does conjure up the image of a certain type of tv channel - like adultsonly....so there are alternatives for this....

And guess what, with the exception of Wineguy's one worded response - I thank you for your comments, but I believe you are wrong on this one - I think members only is a very powerful name combination..and fitting to the .tv extention..........again, just my opinion

I see it having possibilities of working. I think it is a good catch.

Not a good reg IMHO. Most 'members only' buying groups want a unique branded name, not a generic descriptive term. Goog is a poor tool for checking popularity of a term. Ovt is more appropriate and usually (as in the case) dead on as a measure of potential popularity.

As a bonus if you use it to sell stuff you probably will be in violation of three TMs associated with the term "Members Only". EUROPE CRAFT IMPORTS INC might have a problem with this activity.

To address this and Millers request. We may eat our words but there are better names out there available if you are speculating.

As an investment, if it wasn't liveshop.nl that bought liveshop.tv then whoever did knew that it was name that someone else with deep pockets would certainely "need" in the near future and where many of the extensions are already taken up. It is also generic enough to avoid any potential TM infringement suit.

Miller I don't see a clear way to monetize and or produce content for it. What would/should I expect to see in video content if I just typed-in MembersOnly.TV and it was already up and running? "Expect" is the keyword IMHO.

Cheers!

WineGuy

MembersOnly.com OK thought about it some more and still will stick to my original comments using the keyword Expect and expectations.

But..... that said it could be kinda a cool site showing the inner sanctums of private clubs, spas, night clubs, fractional ownership etc, same list Miller put out there.

Yeah now I get it.

Cheers and Good Luck!

WineGuy
