.tv Maximum renewal fee you'd pay for a Country Name Geo?

If you were to buy a not popular Country Name from someone, what would be the maximum renewal fee you'd consider before you wouldn't buy the name? I know this question is a bit vague.

Also, would you consider all premium Country Name GEOs to be worth the renewal fees?

Do you have a particular name you are thinking of?, i appreciate you do not want to broadcast it at this stage but feel free to pm me if you want , i can give you my opinion, although there are lots more Geo holders who have more knowledge and far better names than me who wwould help you.
I am only small fry in the Geo stakes, but i would be happy to give you my opinion about the name if you wanted to.

I would not think so.
A proper country name in the language of the country has to be a far better option. Even with a high renewal fee, it would still make more sense.

but that would cost a lot of money and rather than have little countries I think that is better to have major countries in languages that have quite a big audience.

I`m receiving little constant traffic on my names parked at SEDO.

HTML- If it is one of the smaller Countries then i wouldnt pay above $500 per year.
I wouldnt buy ANY Geo at any price, many have renewal fees which are far too high which will make it near impossible to hold & sell for a profit.

PM me if you wany any opinions or advice as i know a wee bit about aftermarket geo's after bidding for many.

Yeah i undestand there are more than one used language but i dont see great value on any Geo outside the language that is commonly used in the chosen country.

For development of course the alternative Geo's could work fine but if you are hopding to resell then you are restricting the potential buyers massively. :imho:


I am not saying alternative language Geo's are worthless, i am saying they are not for me and i have seen no sales to convince me otherwise.
Its all about opionions and finding a market that works for you and for me only pure geo's are worth buying.
If i am wrong and these alternatives start selling then a few of you guys will be rich.

of course they do , we`re talking of major languages......Italian , German , spanish , french , portoguese , chinese , japanese.

I noticed that erie.tv cost $1000/yr. but I was able to hand reg eriecounty.tv a few days ago for $14.95.

Sure it's only 4 letters, but $1000/yr??
