Just wanted to vent -
My bad luck with hosting..........
This is all in the past 3 months.

I started hosting a few websites at nemohosting only because a person I know was going through them, my sites were down every other day, the cron jobs constantly stopped working, ect...i had to move my sites (gaming sites with members) or people would stop playing.

I moved to livewirehost because of a member of namepros sold me a great sounding package. This caused downtime which made me lose players.

Biggggg mistake, the crons never worked, site was down an hour or so daily, this happened over a month. One morning i check and the site is down, a day or 2 goes by and the site never comes up, I contact support and guess what ! the site has been completely erased, there backup was of an erased copy.


I moved some sites to mangowebs, some to mysharedhost. This ofcourse caused downtime which made me lost players again.
Mango webs was bad news to begin with, crons down constantly, then everything was going good with them, no problems whatsoever. My other main gaming site was at mysharedhost, about 10 days ago my site went down, lol, it never came back up! Not only did it take 9 days to come up, but the site was erased and they backed up from 3 weeks earlier which made me lose over 1500 registered players. The admin is a nice guy that was in japan and explained to me that he couldnt do anything from there, I do not blame it on him but wish something could of been done. The site finally came up yesterday, funny thing is , yesterday MangoWebs shut down!!!
Now the other site is down, no one accepts responsibility and there is nothing i can do because all hosting sites say in there TOS " We do not accept liability for lost data"

Well, i have had the hardest time finding a good host, im trying resellerzoom now to see what they do.

like i said, just wanted to vent

Why not go with more experienced hosts? Even if it costs you at least $20 per month, that's cheap compared to all the aggravation you went through.

i can say this, i have used mysharedhost before without ever having a problem, this is the first time there was ever an issue with them, usually they are great.

You get what you pay for and don't worry resellerzoom is really good and hostingzoom is even better but it costs more and I don't think that you will have any problem with them at all.

I have had big host problems before and know how irritating it is.
Now i host myself :D

Obviously I am not Armstrong but I could tell you use http://www.resellerzoom.com or even http://www.hostingzoom.com. Resellerzoom is basically a valued version of hostingzoom so that would be good for you.

I have a VPS with servint.com. They are expensive (just a bit more and you can get a cheap dedicated box somewhere), but I like how the service is ultra-stable, all security upgrades are done for me (unlike a real dedicated where you have to constantly manage security stuff yourself), and tech support responds within a few minutes of every email. Or you can call anytime, and there's always a tech who can help you.
